She simply couldn't "believe they dropped the ball so many times."

Gisele should probably stick to futbol.

After being heckled by a few Giants fans and/or bandwagon Giants fans after the Patriots Super Bowl loss on Sunday night, Gisele remarked to her entourage: “My husband can not f**king throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time.”

She simply couldn’t “believe they dropped the ball so many times.”

And you can’t blame Gisele for being frustrated…all things considered, she played it cool. Just another “friend” within her inner circle selling her out with a cell phone camera this time. So to her, I can see how she thought Wes Welker dropped the ball. Deion Branch dropped the ball. But did they, “drop” the ball… or did they do something rather spectacular to get their hands on the ball? Now, Aaron Hernandez…he straight up dropped the ball, but allow me to offer my two cents:

To those who have never played wide receiver or defended top-tier wide receivers on a football field: When moving at a high rate of speed, and having to adjust to a poorly thrown ball that is coming at an even higher rate of speed, a simple pass and catch becomes a physical challenge. Wes Welker was running a seam route, and Brady turned him around as if he was hitting him on a flag/corner.

In all fairness, Tom Brady had no choice but to put the ball there, because safety help was rapidly approaching from the inside. Bottom line, Brady missed Welker. Could Welker have made that catch? Absolutely. Would it have been an “easy” catch? No. Not by any stretch of the imagination. Very quick adjustment. (I will continue to argue that it is a more difficult catch than Manningham’s over the shoulder catch keeping his feet in bounds. That ball was dropped into the bucket. Great catch. Don’t misread what I’m writing. But Eli’s throw!? As sexy as a throw gets.)

Late in the game: Brady missed Branch on a similar play. Threw behind him. Chris Collinsworth stated during the broadcast that Branch should have sat in the window. I argue that if he sits 2 yards earlier in the route, Corey Webster picks that pass off, or breaks it up easily! Brady missed Branch.

Late in the 4th on the final drive for the Pats? The pass dropped by Branch should have been a pick by Antrel Rolle. Rolle made a great play on the ball that kept Branch from making an easy catch.

While Eli took the MVP honors, the Giants defense, as always, deserves an absurd amount of credit in beating New England…again…

So there you have it, Gisele–but you are right. Tom could never throw and catch the ball…he’s far too slow.

So much for the halftime show featuring anyone under 50...ever again...

C’mon. Seriously… Just stupid…

The world’s most famous cougar dropped a lackluster halftime show–honestly, what did we expect–but there were a few surprises. Surprises…as in musical acts that actually interested the pop music lover: LMFAO, Nicki Minaj, M.I.A. …Cee-Lo Green. There were some nice, unexpected, under 50 additions to this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, unfortunately–just as Janet Jackson did all those years ago–M.I.A. ensured that we won’t be seeing more of the under 50 crowd performing at halftime anytime soon.

I’m not a fan of anyone who performed tonight, aside from Cee-Lo. Have been enjoying his velvet since I became a fan of the Goodie Mob, and all efforts with the Dungeon Family back in the day, but the others…I can take ‘em, or most likely leave ‘em. No disrespect to the rest of you who enjoy…no disrespect like M.I.A. offered when she decided to fly the bird from downstage left.

It was looking like a legitimate, successful trial of mixing a little youth back into the halftime show, then M.I.A. thought she’d do her thing, and play “Where is tall man, where is tall man?” for all of the world to see. If you were ever curious as to the selfish nature of some of these people–well, wonder no more. If you thought it was cool… Why?

So. Who’s it gonna be next year? James Taylor? Andy Williams? (Actually I’d rather them than many other options.) Thanks again, M.I.A.

I was so embarrassed for Kendrick Perkins that I blushed.

Ever?

Ever.

Name one better.

Yes. There are dunks that you could push into this discussion. I’m particular to Jordan over Ewing, but not even MJ can or ever could throw down with the force of Blake Griffin. Blake Griffin possesses the power of Darryl “Chocolate Thunder” Dawkins, with the athleticism of Dominique “The Human Highlight Film” Wilkins. This dunk will be talked about for years. Or until Griffin does it again.

People have jumped on the Lob City bandwagon, but it was the good ole pick and roll that Chris Paul and Blake Griffin executed to sheer devastation vs. the #1 team in the Western Conference–the Oklahoma City Thunder. Coming off a pick at the left elbow extended, Chris Paul took one quick dribble toward the key before dropping a lead pass to Griffin that would make Drew Brees jealous. Blake Griffin beat the switch, and had already ignited the rockets in his shoes before Kendrick Perkins could offer help from the weak side.

Even still…Perkins did his best to offer that help. He laid his entire body into the flying Griffin, trying to do anything he could to break up the inevitable highlight. Perkins merely made it that much better. Everyone has gotta know: When Blake lasers in on the rim, just get out of the freakin’ way. Seriously. That’s a poster you don’t want to be on…and this may be a poster that I have to buy!

I was watching live when this nonsense went down. They continued to show it over and over in slo-mo, but it does absolutely no justice to the game speed highlight. The sheer, explosive power–and that sound…oh, that sound when he thunders the ball through the rim. Not only that: After the dunk, he catches the ball coming through the net. It’s a straight up insult like a big brother playing vs. little brother and he says, “No, you can’t have the ball!”

Sweet. Mercy. Enjoy.

1 out of 4 people reading this have a tattoo.

Forget SOPA. Forget PIPA. Forget the people who don’t know what the bills mean, but keep spouting off like they’ve actually read the entirety of them. I would reckon that maybe 1 in 100, or fewer have read the bills. Are they crap? These bills? Totally. But let’s talk about something else out of control…let’s talk about tattoos.

It is estimated that some 40 million Americans have a tattoo somewhere on their body. I looked into that before Wikipedia closed for the day. I looked into it because that’s what a new show about tattoos claimed. Yep. I had to check it out.

Ink Master. Had to check it out. It’s hosted by Dave Navarro, and the challenges they’ve got these tattoo artists wrapping their minds around are absolutely bananas. If you need further proof, check out the trailer below. The contestants are well cast, and the conceptualization of the show was surprisingly well realized. If you know anything about tattoos, Chris Nunez and Oliver Peck serve as the judges, and these are two of the biggest, most well respected names in the business. They’re also two of the most controversial–many loathe them as artists. I don’t get it. Plenty of love to go around.

Ultimately, if you like art, I suppose I’m suggesting the show–if you like reality drama, then I most certainly suggest it…just keep in mind, this is reality TV, not a documentary about tattoos. It’s on Spike, not Discovery. But I digress. A question to pose:

When did tattoos become so freakin’ mainstream? I blame myself. I do. I got one many years ago while living in NYC. I got one, and then everyone said, “If that pansy can’t get one, I can get one…” then everyone else said, “If so and so has one, I’m gonna get one…” …and now everyone has one. And there are TV shows about them.

These two senior citizens decide to throw down when old wounds are brought up from their playing days. Remember, these guys are in their 70's!

Some rivalries never die and this seems to be one of them. Former Canadian Football League rivals Joe Kapp, 73, and Angelo Mosca, 74, were at a CFL Alumni luncheon when their rivalry was taken to new heights. Watch what happens when Kapp, former QB of the BC Lions, offered Mosca, once a defensive tackle for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, a flower as a gesture of reconciliation.

Yup, that was Mosca responding with “stick it up your ass” and Kapp responding by walking over and putting it in his face. The best part is the audience thinking that it’s all in good fun and then the sudden realization that these two senior citizens were actually fighting out of animosity. When they started tumbling on stage, that’s when the audience realizes and breaks up the fight.

This rivalry goes back to almost the inception of the CFL when in the 1963 Grey Cup, Mosca made an apparent dirty tackle on Kapp’s teammate, Willie Fleming.

Big family dinners can get very tense, awkward and/or violent very fast. To prove that your family dinners aren't as bad as you think, check out this list of dinners that will make you happy to be eating next to your fat, smelly relative who keeps drinking from your cup.

With the Thanksgiving holiday coming up in less than a week, we all get reminded of the “joy” of family dinners. Whether its the drunk family member breaking a glass or it’s your slutty cousin dressing like a hooker, there’s always something about a family dinner that gets remembered. So while you sit and squirm through the year’s biggest dinner, just remember that it could be much worse and turn out more like these meals…..

Nobody’s Fool

If you haven’t seen this light and good-hearted movie staring Paul Newman, Jessica Tandy, Bruce Willis and Melanie Griffith (with a very young Phillip Seymour Hoffman thrown in as well) you absolutely should. If for anything, just to see this whole scene play out with one of the most dysfunctional families ever.

Little Miss Sunshine

All I gotta ask is; “What’s with the God damn fucking chicken!?” Alan Arkin, you rock. Its starts with him and ends with hilarity.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby

In what could possibly be the funniest family dinner scene ever, Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly just go to town and spew out some hilarious and ridiculous things. Discussing which Jesus version is better, Ricky’s smokin hot wife, the denigration of Grandpa Chip and features one of the “best” menus ever put together.

Beetlejuice

Chairs coming alive, spirits being summoned, Gothic theme and the guest of honor is there to communicate with the dead. Then they dance to Day-O. This is one of the few dinners I would actually have wanted to be a part of.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

This may have not been a traditional family dinner but it has all the things needed to make for an awkward meal. Plus it features bug eating and monkey brains for dessert. Who hasn’t been to a meal where you would rather have been eating those instead of what’s being served.

Meet the Parents

This classic scene from the original Ben Stiller/Robert De Niro comedy is what kicked of the rest of the trilogy being made pretty much. Who can’t relate to the first holiday dinner with their in-laws? Watch the awkwardness unfold before your eyes.

The Nutty Professor

Say what you will about his movies now (that aren’t animated), but Eddie Murphy was at the top of his game when the first Nutty Professor came out. This family dinner scene is pretty much Eddie in different costumes, insulting the others. Why he went from this to Pluto Nash, we will never know.

Scent of a Woman

Words can not describe how great Al Pacino was in this movie. His blind and severely grumpy character is fantastic through out but you can actually feel the tension build when he enters his brother’s house after years of being apart. Feel the hostility grow and eventually blow over when a name is mispronounced.

Hannibal

Ray Liotta definitly blew his top at this meal (see what I did there?). Absolutely not a family meal but does feature someone being called a slut and then someone eating their own brains and being truly delighted by it.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Now I know that in some families, a dinner can be like sitting with a bunch of redneck cannibals who just want to torture with crazy questions. Well in this movie, that actually happens. So just remember it could be much worse.

Oh, Courtney. What's the problem this time?

Every time she talks it gets better and better, or worse and worse–it all depends on your preferred perspective.

While playing a show in Brazil, Courtney wigged out when someone lifted up a picture of Kurt Cobain in the audience. She’s not a fan of when people do that. She’s not a fan of when people say they loved Nirvana. And she’s not a fan of that Dave Grohl fella, and his band Foo Fighters. She is a fan…of crazy. She is a fan of taking her clothes off while on stage. She is a fan of complaining about a lack of money for Kurt’s family. And she is a fan of plastic surgery, from what I can deduce.

Her sister-in-law apparently lives under the bridge that Kurt sang about, her mother-in-law has no front door or working boiler in her home…and this is Dave Grohl’s fault. Frances Bean did just buy a 3,300 sq. foot pad in L.A. for over 1 million, however.

When I look to share examples of why drugs are bad, Courtney is a poster child. I would never deny her talent. Thought she showed incredible promise in Man on the Moon, and her music in the 90s was, at times, incredibly inspired. But limitations, she knows not.

After playing, walking off stage, back on stage, back off stage and back on stage to play some more after a few tirades, Courtney Love offered the following diatribe against all things Dave Grohl. Man. She hates that guy. And we know the feeling is mutual. At least they’re passionate about it.

Unfortunately, his cheerleader girlfriend is what is commonly referred to as a Dallas Cowgirl–Nelson plays for the Buffalo Bills.

Buffalo has played some good ball this season. A few big wins has them in the thick of the AFC playoff picture, especially considering no team in the AFC can win more than three games in a row–or so it would seem. Nelson has been integral in the Bills success, so it was no surprise to see him on the receiving end of a Ryan Fitzpatrick touchdown pass yesterday. However, what he did next, was…something.

It wasn’t necessarily cute. It wasn’t very romantic. It was quite awkward. It was one of those things in which he had planned in his mind’s eye, “I’m gonna do something…” But I’m sure when he thought, “I’m gonna do something,” he also envisioned the Bills being in the game, not down 21 points on the road with the Dallas fans already snoozing.

Bills fans took to the Interwebs to express their disdain, but Nelson remained defiant, standing behind his celebration, stating “I played my tail off.” Good for you, man…that’s what it’s all about…you, playing your tail off. Not the other 52 guys on your roster.

As you’ll see in the video below–and be sure to watch it quickly, the NFL will pull it from YouTube soon enough–Nelson scores, then basically runs a 5k to reach the sideline where his Dallas Cowboys cheerleader girlfriend, Kelsi Reich, stood. She continued to giggle throughout the whole ordeal, for which I give her props–she did return the hug, at least.

Dallas won the game 44-7.

I wanna see every one of these arrogant schmoes last 30 seconds on a waterboard.

If you were going to cast an out of the box sequel to the upcoming Farrelly brother comedy, The Three Stooges, I’ve got a pitch for studio execs. I think a reality show starring Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain and Rick Perry would crush the popularity of what Jersey Shore once was.

As the the GOP Primary competition drags on…and on… …and on, more and more crap gets pushed to the forefront. In the Saturday night debate, the topic of foreign affairs led to a brief series of soap box platforms for a few of the candidates. Most notably, Bachmann, Cain and Perry. All three are in favor of waterboarding, as an interrogation technique.

Cain claimed: “I don’t see that as torture. I see it as an enhanced interrogation technique.“

Bachmann stated that it was a “very effective” method, and offered a little jab at President Obama, delcaring that he is “allowing the ACLU to run the CIA.”

Rick Perry, grasping for anything after the last debate, got fiery: “This is war. That’s what happens in war!”

In that case, Rick. Because Hitler declared war on all things disassociated with his cause, I suppose it was acceptable to treat any POW as the Nazis did? I know he was a rotten human being–a bad guy, that Adolph Hitler–but isn’t that what supposedly separates us from the rest of the world? No doubt, Texas Rick, you think America are the “good guys,” right? Isn’t that what you’d be striving for as POTUS?

Herman. Not torture? It’s torture, man. If you think that it’s an acceptable form of torture in order to get desired information, then state that. Don’t tell me how you interpret it. Have you ever watched it? Would you subject yourself to it? Perhaps that’s the best way for we voters to learn if you really manhandled 5 ladies? In fact, Herman, I’ll tell you what…subject yourself to it, and you’ve got the vote of this guy, regardless!

And Michele…can’t really respond to you. However, if you’d like to know a little more about waterboarding, Mrs. Bachmann, feel free to enjoy the video below.

The NBA lockout could be over tomorrow or it could stretch through the New Year. So while the money mongers fight over millions, why not watch these movies to get your basketball jones satisfied.

While Derek Fisher and David Stern battle out who gets millions the rest of the basketball world is put on hold. But to satiate your craving why not watch any of these movies and continue to wait while billionaire owners and millionaire players decide who should get what.

Magic & Bird: A Courtship of Rivals

If you think you know about the Magic/Bird rivalry, you don’t know squat. Check out this fantastic documentary about how the rivals became best friends and its all because of a McDonald’s commercial. Can’t recommend this movie enough.

Semi-Pro

Like any Will Ferrell movie, this one needs repeated viewings to get the comedic genius that is Mr. Ferrell. Like Jim Carrey movies, you have to get past the silliness to enjoy how funny it is. Totally worth it.

He Got Game

A gritty, Spike Lee movie that looks at an inner-city family that has produced the best high school basketball player in the nation. Ray Allen plays Jesus Shuttlesworth and an afro sporting Denzel Washington plays his father. Boobs, drugs, shady agents, shady college officials; may as well be report on Sports Center.

Blue Chips

A realistic look at college recruiting and how illegal things can get. Nick Nolte plays the coach while Shaq and Penny Hardaway provide the basketball stars. A decent flic that’s worth a look just to see a not-so-crazy Nolte and an in-shape Shaq. Two things that haven’t been seen in more than 10 years.

White Men Can’t Jump

This classic comedy with Woody Harrelson, Wesley Snipes and Rosie Perez (who actually looks good put that voice!) spawned the phrase that is repeated on basketball courts every day. Probably because it’s mainly true.

Hoosiers

A classic movie with Dustin Hoffman as a cranky coach who teaches a small town basketball team (and town) that basketball isn’t just about making baskets. A feel good movie you could share with the kids (if they’ll sit through it).

Above the Rim

Street ball that doesn’t involve obnoxious nicknames and silly announcers on the court. See Tupac Shakur in a fantastic role (that probably wasn’t too much of a stretch for him) in this great movie.

So which did I leave out that should be on the list?

If you’ve ever seen the movie Requiem for a Dream you know that it does a better job of scaring the average person away from drugs than any D.A.R.E. or S.A.N.E. program ever will. Director Darren Aronofsky took any glamor at all out of drug use and scared the living crap out of people watching. Well now he’s making anti-drug PSA’s and doing the same thing. These are very powerful videos that should be shown to everyone. Check out a couple here and you can see the rest MethProject.org

PErsonally, I think these are fantastic. They are dark and gritty which is what kids these days need to see. I also think that Requiem for a Dreamshould be showed to 6th graders and it would work wonders. Kids don’t get to see (SPOILER WARNING) a rotted arm of a junkie become infected and need to be cut off, hard jail time for dealers, electro-shock therapy being performed on an old lady or, the most graphic part, what the term “ass to ass” means and how far people will go to satisfy their addictions. Get all the signed permission slips you need, but show these PSA’s and the movie to kids. Even watching this clip of the last few minutes of the movie will work wonders. Just hearing the music for this gives me the creeps.

Courtney Stodden gets put to the test on Dr.Drew's show to see if she is actually 100% natural. See the video to find out the results.

Courtney Stodden, the 16-year-old girl who was given permission from her parents to marry 51-year-old Doug Hutchinson (the creepy guy who played the creepy guard in Green Mile), has been insisting that her abnormally large boobs and plastic looking face are completely natural and she has received no plastic surgery. So, for whatever reason, Dr. Drew had them both on his show, Lifechangers, and she took an ultrasound breast exam live on the show to prove she has no implants. See the results for yourself:

So apparently she’s telling some sort of truth. I am so relieved to know that this underage girl has no breast enhancements. Life can go on! This couple is the next Spencer and Heidi and they are going to do everything they can to get attention. Dr. Drew’s show must have been desperate for ratings so they had them on.

I guarantee these two are shopping around a reality TV show to get on. I don’t know who’s going to want to pick up a show thats obviously going to have some sort of underage sex in it. She still isn’t 18 yet so there will be a good amount of people that will protest any show featuring these two. But then again, people care about the Kardashian’s so you never know what people will watch.

There will be no charges brought down on Judge William Adams as a result of the leaked video of him savagley whipping his daughter with a belt.

After viewing the video, I can not fathom that there was no criminal activity in it. But according to the District Attorney overseeing Aransas County-San Patricio County, no charges will be brought against Judge William Adams.

In a release from the Rockport Police Department, DA Patrick Flanigan is quoted as saying, ” I have received and reviewed the submitted evidence regarding William Adams and the video incident that was reported to RPD on November 1, 2011. I have also referenced the applicable statutes from the Penal Code and Code of Criminal Procedure. It is clear that no criminal misdemeanor information nor any criminal felony indictment may be presented for any criminal charge that may be depicted on the subject video. Limitations prevents prosecution of any applicable criminal charge shown on said video.”

Lieutenant Larry Sinclair says the Rockport Police Department will be in contact with federal authorities to see if any charges may be filed in a federal court.

Anderson Cooper was able to sit down with her and ask a view questions after the video went viral and seen by millions.

To me this is total crap. The video clearly shows that this was more than just a disciplinary beating. They stop and start the belt whippings over and over again and you can see his temper get the best of him. There is disciplining your child and then there is beating. Discipline should not be an anger controlled thing, you’re not disciplining them because you’re angry, you’re disciplining them because they have done something wrong. But when you admit that you lost control of your anger and apologized THEN YOU KNOW YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG. Judge Adams should be taken out of office and charges should be brought down. This is not an ok thing to do to anyone, let alone your own child.

The Grand Theft Auto and Saint's Row series each have new games coming out and now the trailers for them have been released.

Two huge video game franchises have just released trailers for their upcoming sequels. First it is Grand Theft Auto V from Rockstar Games. The Grand Theft Auto series has been heavily criticized for it’s portrayal of violence and gore but that has done nothing to hinder its popularity. The fifth instalment only seems to up the ante and gives the fans what they want. This time the game is set in Vinewood, a fictional portrayal of Hollywood, CA and the crime that goes on there. You will play as an ex-gangster who is trying to live the high road and escape his life of crime. Somehow I doubt things go according to plan.

And now for Saint’s Row The Third. These games are just like Grand Theft Auto games except for that they are said to have better plots and not just mindless violence to get through. That’s not to say it doesn’t have violence and gore, it just seems to have better story lines and a large following that will play it until they die. The one thing that this game has going for it is the fact that it has Burt Reynolds not only voicing a character but that character looks distinctly like him. What can be bad about that?

A Texas judge severely beats his daughter and it's all caught on a hidden camera. See the very disturbing video here.

A Texas Court-at-Law judge, William Adams, is in extremely hot water today after his daughter, Hillary, released this video of a beating she took back in 2004 when she tried to access the Internet. The video is very disturbing and shows both parents whipping the child who was 16 at the time, repeatedly with a belt and yelling and screaming in her face. Take a look and see for yourself.

Since the video’s release yesterday, his office has released a statement about an investigation that will take place. As of right now, the site has been inundated with calls, faxes and emails about this horrible person.

“I was holding onto the video until the right time,” says Hillary, “and after a barrage of harassment from my father over the phone, I snapped and finally uploaded it. Now I’m sorry I didn’t do it sooner.”

The mother, Hallie Adams, now the judge’s ex-wife, has acknowledged the video on Facebook.

”I am praying for my daughters and me and my family to heal in all ways from emotional and physical abuse, for the current and continuing abuse of my children and me that has been ongoing to end – starting now – for my daughters to both finally be able to go to counseling both individually and as a family group with their Dad’s approval, encouragement, involvement and support, for him to finally make amends to all of us, talk openly with us, and take the first steps to letting our broken family heal.”

An investigation by Judicial Review in Austin is currently taking place after the flood of phone calls and emails. But Judge Adams remains defiant and says that the investigation will only clear his name.

“It happened years ago; I apologized,” he told news outlets. “It’s not as bad as it looks on tape.”

Today offered a tragic, fatal accident, killing one of the racing world's favorite and most outstanding drivers: Dan Wheldon.

15 cars. Any accident involving 15 cars on a high-speed track is cause for great concern. It is truly amazing that there are not more fatalities than there are. A testament to the safety equipment used in modern-day racing. Unfortunately, no safety equipment can contain the magnitude of some of the accidents in auto racing. This is especially true in the IRL, where cars look more like winged aircraft than automobiles.

Today offered a tragic, fatal accident, killing one of the racing world’s favorite and most outstanding drivers: Dan Wheldon. Wheldon was a two-time Indianapolis 500 winner, including the 2011 race, and widely regarded as both a fan and driver favorite. Wheldon’s car became airborne in the accident, coming to rest in a safety fence. The crash, which is detailed in slow motion below, was fiery–the realized potential of how dangerous high speed tracks can be in Indy racing.

In a twist of irony, Wheldon was speaking earlier in the week about the potential of the race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He stated that the race could become “pure entertainment” with the level of talent on the track with the high speed and wide racing potential.

Dan Wheldon was admired by every racing fan. He was simply that guy that you enjoyed listening to–incredibly gifted in conversation and in offering interviews…and he was one heck of a driver. The IRL and world will miss his presence.

Wheldon, 33, from England, lived in Florida with his wife Susie, and their two young boys.

Terrell Owens. The boy can certainly find the nearest camera.

…a month away from what, I don’t know.

T.O. I do prefer the nickname Skip Bayless offered to Terrell some years ago: T.O. = Team Obliterator. That, he is. Terrell called a mini-conference, and agreed to an interview with Stephen A. Smith last night. Stephen A., whom I adore for his absolutely verbal madness, sat down with T.O. and a few members of the Owens family.

Like so many, I hoped that Terrell Owens was going to humble himself before his family, Smith and the cameras. State that he loves the game, misses the game and wants to make his final years his best. Instead, he thought he’d offer a bit of a practical joke, before allowing Stephen A. to save the interview. Yep. T.O. stated that he was going to retire…before basically saying he was kidding and that NFL teams should prep to give him an opportunity.

Seriously. This guy. Terrell Owens may very well be the most insecure human being on the face of the planet. Never has someone with such beast DNA needed to prove anything more than what they can do on the football field. Yet for Terrell, it’s not enough.

After poking and prodding…and even squirming a bit–because Terrell made the interview as awkward as possible–Stephen A. somewhat guided Owens to a statement that he’d be ready soon. With some additional prodding, he got Owens to state that he’d be ready for game action in a month or less.

So here’s the million dollar question: Would you want your team to sign him? And if so, which team is yours, so I know which team to bet against each week?

Here’s the faux retirement announcement:

Cats with the condition that Frank and Louie has are called Janus cats. They usually die within a few days of their birth. When Frank and Louie was just one day old, he was set to be euthanized. There was no hope for him to have a long life.

An employee at the clinic where Frank and Louie was going to be euthanized wanted to give him a chance, though. Marty Stevens is her name and she rescued Frank and Louie and took him home. 12 years later, he’s still going strong.

At age 12, Frank and Louie is officially listed with Guinness World Records as the longest-living cat with his condition. Most Janus cats suffer from problems like choking, but Frank and Louie doesn’t because he eats with only one of his two mouths.

Frank and Louie has two noses, which both work. He has three eyes, but he only sees out of the outer two. His middle eye remains open all the time, which is kind of creepy.

What does Frank and Louie think about his incredible life? He seems to think he’s just a regular cat. He’s friendly and likes going on walks and being around people.

Wanna talk about something that has gotten completely out of control? Yeah, me too.

This isn’t a Middle Eastern nation, a safe distance from home. This is our neighbor to the south, which has become King in the realm of drug production and push. In Acapulco, Mexico, a bag full of severed heads, five to be exact, was found just outside an elementary school. Acapulco has long served as a bridge for South American cocaine production to find its way northerly. Many schools in the area have already cancelled classes due to a lack of security.

Many teachers have already fled their jobs and homes due to threats and demands that lay claim to a portion of their salaries. Teachers are supposed to pay up, or find themselves a target for violent crimes. Schools that don’t pay up will be attacked–or so state the threats. Over 75 schools have received these threats.

Regardless, many schools and teachers have come together in protest of the growing drug trade and activity in the region, as well as throughout Mexico. In the U.S., we can pat ourselves on the back for the continuous to and fro of drugs, weapons and cash. I’m sure the Mexican teachers love us for it.

Caught wind of this video, and while I’ve sworn to never again write about the momma bear, how could I not write about Bristol bear?

I can’t say that I dislike this girl, having never met her. I can also say that about 6.1 billion other people in the world who are going about their business, whether attempting to influence others or keeping it to themselves. Chances are our conversation would dwindle within two minutes…but I hate to be presumptuous.

Digressing.

This exchange. This verbal barrage. Chick (Palin) is riding the mechanical bull at Saddle Ranch. After Palin Jr. gets tossed from the saddle, some dude lets loose at the bar. You’ll hear below. Woo! Spitting venom.

For maybe 5 or 6 seconds I was really impressed with the way Bristol handled things. You may hate her, but you can’t deny this girl has had her feet held to the fire. In fact, I would venture to say that momma bear plunged Jr’s feet into the hot coals without really offering much consideration to the development of a young adult’s social life or emotional health. In that sense I want to lean toward the guy at the bar, but…he was a prick.

Then Bristol had to make it a gay thing vs. momma thing and I lost interest. I thought it might get really interesting. That she’d school a drunk a-hole who honestly deserved a schooling. Or some therapy. Probably both. But it fizzles. It does boast intrigue however. Do enjoy.

After 30 years of making music together, R.E.M. has announced that they're "calling it a day as a band."

(Here’s a little something to work you through the post.)

It’s the end of an era.

The band R.E.M. led by front man Michael Stipe, has decided they’re going their separate ways after making music together for three decades. If you’re of the XBox Generation, you may or may not know R.E.M. If you’re Generation X, the announcement that came via the band’s website yesterday is a little bittersweet. Not so much because you’re expecting their next release with the anticipation that you greeted Monster in ‘94, but because you know that there simply won’t be more original stuff flowing from one of the band’s that helped define the alternative sound.

Sure, the band will undoubtedly get together years from now and play a concert or two–maybe–you just never know.

Formed in 1980, you’d never guess these guys were all University of Georgia students who just happened together to jam on occasion. They were gigging before they ever had an official name, and were still kicking around options such as “Cans of Piss.” Stipe randomly chose R.E.M. from a dictionary, and for over 30 years they pumped out beloved industry singles, and era-defining albums such as 1992’s Automatic…for which former Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones offered several string arrangements. In my humble opinion, it is the band’s most “realized” album release–but then, I had that sucker on cassette.

Like all good things, R.E.M. has come to an end. Many thanks to Michael Stipe, Bill Berry, Peter Buck and Mike Mills.

The R.E.M. Releases:

Murmur (1983)
Reckoning (1984)
Fables of the Reconstruction (1985)
Lifes Rich Pageant (1986)
Document (1987)
Green (1988)
Out of Time (1991)
Automatic for the People (1992)
Monster (1994)
New Adventures in Hi-Fi (1996)
Up (1998)
Reveal (2001)
Around the Sun (2004)
Accelerate (2008)
Collapse into Now (2011)

Never has it been a better time to lose your eyesight.

Remember Courtney Stodden? Married Doug Hutchison? The guy everyone kept referring to as the actor from LOST? And you kept asking, “Which character was he on LOST?” And then people caught wind of the fact that he also played the sniveling Percy from The Green Mile.

Yep. That girl and that guy. They’ve signed a deal with Roy Bank who is president of Merv Griffin entertainment. And I have no doubt, that just like every other train wreck that has been put on TV, people will tune in to see what this pseudo-celebrity couple is up to.

As you’re well aware, Stodden is a 16 year old who looks like she’s about 37, and aspires to do great things in the realm of entertainment. Hutchison is 51, and when he’s not in front of the camera, he’s offering the refining process to acting students–and teaching other guys how to score chicks who are young enough to be their grandchildren.

I’ve been wildly curious about this odd relationship since its development. I have a sneaking suspicion that the whole thing has been a show, and that Hutchison has been paid, and will be paid a cut of earnings by Stodden and her parents to help make her a “household” name. And for him, it finally puts a name with the face that we all recognize from LOST, The Green Mile and a host of other TV shows and films. I mean seriously, 51 and 16? What do they talk about? Retirement and ice cream? I guess those are two things that interest everyone.

In the meantime, enjoy the video. Once they’re booked into a weekly slot, there will be so much more of this to enjoy! Never has it been a better time to lose your eyesight.

Such is the case of Troy Davis, who was convicted of the 1989 murder of Savannah, GA, off-duty police officer, Mark MacPhail.

It can be said for any and every state that employs the death penalty as a means of justice–there is a very steep curve for individuals to prove their innocence through the legal system of appeals.

There is little doubt that more than a few states have executed people who were not at all guilty of the crimes committed warranting the death penalty.

At the time of the Davis murder trial in 1991, several witnesses testified that Davis was an individual at the scene, one of many involved in an argument with several others in a Burger King parking lot. After the crime, he was implicated as the trigger man who killed MacPhail after the off-duty police officer, working as private security, attempted to intervene in the argument.

No physical evidence was necessary to convict Davis–in fact, no physical evidence that could hold up in a present day appeal existed. False ballistics–that’s it. The conviction was based on the accounts offered by 9 witnesses, including individuals who were involved in the argument. 7 of the 9 witnesses have since recanted or contradicted their accounts, and one anonymous individual eventually claimed that he was the one who pulled the trigger during the altercation.

Davis has always maintained his innocence, and has gained support from over 700,000 strong, in the form of activists, clergy and even former president Jimmy Carter. The parole board denied a final plea for clemency, and the execution remains scheduled for Wednesday night. The storm of protest continues to stir.

The MacPhail family? His widow has stated that it is time for justice to be served. She believes that Davis is lying about his innocence. MacPhail’s children were very young at the time of his murder, but they’re also ready to proceed as planned.

If you’re curious about Davis’ choice of a last meal–he declined, opting for what’s on the weekly menu.

The death toll in this tragedy is now 10. The pilot and 9 from the ground. Another one of the injured died overnight in a local Reno hospital. Several more remain in serious or critical condition following the accident involving the modified P-51 fighter from the World War II era.

If you are just catching wind of this tragedy, it occurred on Friday at the National Championship Air Races outside of Reno, Nevada. Many are calling it an airshow, and while there is a lot of show within air races, air races are very different events.

The P-51 was equipped with some modern upgrades, including a flight data recording system. Memory cards from the data recorder have been recovered from the wreckage, and investigators will attempt to recover any data from the available cards. What has become obvious since the day of the accident is the fact that a piece of the tail wing detached from the plane earlier during flight.

In the new video it’s obvious that many of the spectators ceased to track the P-51 after it pushed behind them. At that moment it comes screaming into view in a dive and crash into the VIP section, obliterating the plane. Crashes at events such as this are nothing new, yet rarely do the aircraft intercept the path or seating sections of spectators.

You ever heard a tennis player call a chair umpire a "hater?"

You ever heard a tennis player call a chair umpire a “hater?”

If you’ll remember two years ago, Serena Williams laid the verbal smack on a tournament referee after the ref called her for multiple foot faults. Don’t play tennis? Don’t worry about it, this is still supremely entertaining. Following the second foot fault, Serena said all kinds of good stuff to the petite line judge, including that she’d cram the ball down her throat. With the addition of a expletive adjectives.

Supremely entertaining.

Yesterday, Ms. Williams was locked into the U.S. Open Final vs. Australian Samantha Stosur, and after striking a ball, Serena shouted “Come on!” Not as she struck the ball, but after she struck the ball. I believe the actual rule is considered a hindrance, and the point, which Serena won, was awarded to Samantha Stosur.

The call by the chair umpire was correct, when considering the rules of the game. But honestly, there’s so much screaming, grunting and groaning in the women’s game, I thought it was a slightly odd call to offer Stosur the point.

Obviously, Serena disagreed, and it didn’t take long for Serena to turn herself into the victim with a few classic one-liners. In all fairness, Serena Williams does go into beast mode during a match. Almost like she’s possessed, but she’s gotta get this kind of crap under control.
