Film producer, director, actor, tennis player, chess master, and seemingly full-time water-skier, d’Azur brought his unflappable elegance to red carpets and swimming pools of the French Riviera this year. His style and escapades are rumored to have inspired none other than 007, James Bond. And red carpet legend has it that Jacques’ debut at the Cannes Film Festival created such a frenzy he gave a record 1000 autographs—leaving his wrist so badly sprained that he played left-handed in the Cannes Tennis Open the following day, resulting in a narrow victory for Jacques: 6-3, 6-4, 7-6.

Speaking of James Bond, think of Sean Connery. The swagger he brought to the character is timeless and the definition of strong style and substance without ever uttering a word.

And while we talk about ease and effortlessness, let’s not kid ourselves into thinking for a second that d’Azur or Clooney threw on the first thing they found on their closet floor. These guys know what events like the Oscars are all about. It’s the time to make a statement. And in cases like this, a little effort and attention to detail dignify the event, its history, and everyone who came before.

Swagger a la Sinatra, Clooney, or d’Azur may not be easy to pull off, but it’s not limited to Hollywood or the French Riviera. You just need the guts to go for it, and the world is yours for the taking.

According to Diesel, “being stupid” is the new cool. The popular denim jeans brand is embracing “stupid” and turning it into a positive. In case you’re late on the scene, the word stupid has taken somewhat of a positive connotation as of late. For example, rappers such as Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy and Kanye West have all embraced the new “stupid.”

Diesel explains the “Be Stupid” movement as a chance to be “liberated” from all those people who dismiss your originality. “Stupid is the liberating alternative to dry-as-dust cerebral (so called ’smart’) and it takes courage, loads!”

In order to give credit where credit is due, we must first applaud the late rapper Mac Dre and his cult classic “Get Stupid.” As a apart of the West Coast Hyphy movement in the early ’00s, it was cool to “get stupid” and wild out on the dance floor. Since then the word has died down, but is now finally gaining its momentum back. Are you going to “Be Stupid” in 2010?

HBO brings us an all new show about “getting respect!” entitled “How To Make It In America.” Could this be the next Entourage? Vince and the guys have been around for quite some time now and this might be the networks answer for something new.

And for all you Kid Cudi fans, he’s one of the main characters in “How To Make It In America.” Seeing that he’s signed to a major label and will soon be raking in the big bucks, I don’t know if many of us would believe he trying to just “make it in America.” But then again, Entourage wasn’t the most realistic show (Turtle and Jamie Lynn, give me a break!). Oh wait that was real.

The show premiers on Valentines Day, February 14th at 10PM. If it’s anything like the Sopranos or Entourage, I’m sure we’ll be in for a treat. And remember, “It’s not about money, it’s about respect!”

The highly anticipated ad has become a controversial issue amongst supporters and protesters of abortion. Tebow has yet to speak out about his decision to pursue the commercial and stand behind his fate.

$2.5 million seems like an awful lot of money to spending on a Superbowl commercial about pro-life. We can all agree that they’ll be reaching the largest television audience of the year, but this issue might be a little bit out of place when it appears next to the SOBE lizards.

The U.S. Geological Survey have just reported a 7.0 magnitude earthquake hitting the island nation Haiti. The epicenter is said to be less than 10 miles away from the capital city of Port-Au-Prince.

A tsunami watch has been put into effect and some geologists predict that aftershocks may be as high as 5.6 – 5.9 in magnitude. The Hatian Ambassador to the U.S. described the unfortunate tragedy as “a catastrophe of major proportions.”

Another official, from the United States, reported that the earthquake was severely damaging, “rocks were strewn all over the place a ravine where several homes had been built collapsed. A well-known hospital has also been reported to have collapsed from the quake.

No word yet on how many people have died or been injured.

Just when you thought Sarah Palin wouldn’t get anymore undeserving attention, she signs a deal with FOX News. The former Governor of Alaska signed on as a contributor to the nations most hated and popular news channel. While joining the likes of Bill O’Reilly and Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin won’t have her own show, but will likely have a lot more appearances on the “fair and balanced” channel.

Now, I’m not a big a fan of news channels and don’t even have cable at the moment, but it saddens me that Palin is still in the news! I’ll give her credit for the book she wrote and her performances on SNL, but that’s where I draw the line.

I can’t say I’m surprised by this move and honestly it’s pretty smart in a business sense. The country seems to be entertained by Palin and for some reason she just won’t go away.

After watching this video, you’ll understand why I’m thinking about trading in my iPhone. Seriously, the real-life GPS function is incredible.

Skype has definitely revolutionized the way we communicate with people around the world and even cheapened the once expensive interaction. If you thought video chat was cool, wait until you see it in HD! Expensive video conferencing utilities are a thing of the past and Skype is ready to start the new decade with some futuristic fun.

In 2010, it’s all about skinny, flat LCD screens. One company that is able to capitalize off of this new trend is Vizio. Introducing their latest product, the XVT, Vizio let’s their customers enjoy an incredible 21:9 aspect ratio. Not to mention the screen is almost razor thin and looks like something out of “Minority Report.” Oh yeah, and did we mention these also come in 80″!

5) Viliv n5 Touchscreen Netbook

Apple’s iSlate tablet is in their final stages of release, but one gadget that may have beat them to the punch is the all-new Viliv n5 Touchscreen Netbook. Debuting at CES 2010, we love the concept of this product, but the specs are bit questionable. It will be interesting to see how smartphone users adapt to all these new tablets.

6) Cool-er E-Reader

Amazon’s Kindle and Barnes and Noble’s Nook, might be in for some heavy competition with the COOL-ER e-reader. This “cooler” looking e-reader will be introduced at CES 2010 and is hoping to “wow” the competition with their unique features. The wifi enabled device will enable users to download on the fly via wifi hotspots. Vote or Buy?

7) SANYO Eneloop Bike

One of the coolest bikes to hit the streets in a while is the Sanyo Eneloop Bike. This pedal-assist, three-speed regenerative eBike allows riders the flexibility to exercise or effortlessly cruise, all while being eco-friendly. Man, I wish they had something like this when I was a kid. Going up hills would’ve been a breeze.

According to TMZ.com actress Brittany Murphy Died today at her Los Angeles home after suffering from a heart attack. When she reached Cedars Sinai hospital, it was too late, she was pronunced dead on arrival. The cause of death has yet to be determined.

Murphy, who starred such movies as “Clueless” “8 Mile” and “Just Married” was with her husband Simon Monjack at the time and he was the one who called the paramedics. We will bring you more information as it becomes available.

Celebrity home, living and lifestyle magazine MH+L (Modern Home and Living) launched Tuesday night in Hollywood, CA, and Manolith.com was on hand to cover the star studded event. For those of you unfamiliar with MH+L, it’s essentially the magazine version of MTV Cribs (without all the rewinding and fast forwarding).

The swanky indoor/outdoor nightclub Boulevard 3 was jam packed with press and fans all wanting a glimpse of celebrities. Everyone from the Black Eyed Peas to Lindsay Lohan showed their support during this holiday-themed launch party.

The highlight of the night was definitely former “America’s Best Dance Crew” winners The Jabbawockeez. Dressed in their signature “Phantom of the Opera” masks and all red jumpsuits, the Jabbawockeez had the whole crowd on their feet, itching for the best view. The magazine looks to hit stores early 2010.

In one of the craziest stories we’ve heard all year, a 4-year-old escaped from his home, drank some beer, and went on to steal Christmas presents from his neighbors. Hayden, the 4-year-old in question, was somehow able to escape his child proof home by breaking the safety locks from the doors.

Of the Christmas presents he stole, Hayden decided to dress up in his neighbors brown tutu. (NOTE: We couldn’t make this up even if we wanted to.)

According to his mother, Hayden wanted to get in trouble and go to jail because he thought that he would see his father, who is currently locked up in jail. Hayden won’t be facing any criminal charges, but it might be a good idea to hide the beer better next time.

Wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals Chris Henry died early this morning after suffering from injuries induced from a fall off of a pickup truck. According to AP reports, Chris Henry had been in a domestic dispute with his fiance, and when she decided to drive off in a pickup truck, Henry hopped on the back, eventually falling off. He later died at a local hospital.

Friend and teammate Chad Ocho Cinco was extremely hurt by this tragedy. He had this to say on Twitter before finding out Henry passed, “I’ve never prayed this way before where its come to tears, please continue your prayers for my boy Chris (Slim) Henry! I love you bruh.”

Don’t you hate it when you’re listening to the radio and the worst remix to your favorite song comes on. It’s like they do it to purposely make the song sound bad. Well a new iPhone app may have just FLYP’T the script on that whole concept (pun intended!).

This new iPhone app, FLYP’T, lets you remix your favorite songs with ease and accuracy. After playing with it today I was amazed at the quality of sound you’re able to produce. The app allows you to import songs from their vast library and mix the major bits and pieces.

My favorite feature would have to be the Screwed option. It lets you slow down the singers voice to a dope sounding drawl like the Screwed and Chopped sound from Houston. You can also do Spinbacks, Rolls and Muffled filters.

The 2009 LA Auto Show was definitely one of the best of the year. From the amazing concept cars to the North American debut of the 2011 Mazda 2, automakers were able to continue to innovate despite the declining auto industry.

Since we couldn’t invite all of you with us, though, we decided instead to give you the best of the best in under a minute. You’ll see that we mostly highlighted the super expensive and limited released vehicles, but there are still a few affordable ones in there too.

If I had to pick a favorite, I would definitely choose the BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics Concept. With its clear view Lamborghini doors and pencil thin break lights, it really looked like a pimped out UFO. It makes you wonder, if this model ever does come out, how much will it go for? Overall, it was a great time and we’re definitely looking forward to next year.

They have yet to release a price, but it’s expected to be pretty affordable. As gas prices continue to rise, the Mazda 2 will definitely be on the top of everyone’s list. At the press event on Tuesday, I even overheard reporters and cameramen talking about buying the Mazda 2 for themselves.

In 2008, the Mazda 2 was voted “Car of the Year” by automotive journalists from around the world. After eight long years the Mazda 2 will finally hit North America and we will finally get to experience what all the buzz is about.

Last night marked the finale of the 2009 Ford Fiesta Movement, the ultimate Ford foreign exchange program, in which 100 lucky agents were selected to spend six months behind the wheel of their very own 2010 Ford Fiesta. We were on hand at the Hollywood Palladium, as Ford announced the top agents and awarded them with cool actual “rear-view mirror” trophies.

Tiger Woods was seriously injured in a car accident early this morning near his home in Windermere, Florida. Police reports confirm that Woods hit a fire hydrant and then a tree, after leaving his Isleworth community complex at 2:25 a.m. He was driving a 2009 Cadillac Escalade, and it is unclear if the airbags inflated or not.

He is currently in an Orlando area hospital, but his condition has yet to be confirmed. Early reports, however, suggest that he was seriously injured in the accident and apparently suffered facial lacerations. Sources report, Woods was not under the influence of alcohol or any other illegal substance.
