Only You Can Prevent ‘Hernandezing’ From Being a Thing

New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was arrested at his home in Massachusetts this morning in connection to the murder of Odin Lloyd.

Curiously, even though Hernandez isn’t considered a flight risk, he wasn’t allowed to quietly turn himself in to police. Instead, multiple police officers in suits knocked on his door at about 8:45 a.m. and Hernandez reportedly answered wearing only a pair of athletic shorts. He was then handcuffed and the cops pulled a white t-shirt over his head before walking him out to the waiting cruiser.

This resulted in some pretty goofy pictures of what looks like a fat, arms-less Hernandez:

This raises a very important question. No, not “when will we see justice served?” Not even “what does this mean for the 2013 Patriots’ season?” The big issue that arises is how long will it be before some idiot tries to make “Hernandezing” a thing.

We can’t allow it to happen, people. Take a stand.

“Tebowing” was bad enough. Kaepernicking” was downright embarrassing. It ends now.

Friends don’t let friends put their arms behind their back, pull on a white t-shirt and post photos of it to the Internet. Do your part.
