Kanye West made his long-awaited return to Twitter this morning, posting this cryptic message for his nearly 10 million followers to interpret:

Once one of Twitter’s most active users, Kanye quit Twitter and deleted all his previous posts back in October, leaving only the message “BE BACK SOON.”

So, what do we make of Kanye’s first post in half a year? It has to be the date of an album release, right?

West has been rumored to be hard at work on his next solo album, the follow-up to 2010’s excellent My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Heck, some celebrity gossip blogs are reporting that Kanye is so focused on his new tracks that he’s essentially ignoring Kim Kardashian, the mother-to-be of his child.

“They both work non-stop and they want to continue doing that, even if it means jeopardizing their time and their future together,” a source told RadarOnline.com.

Earlier this week, AllHipHop.com reported that Kanye’s album is finished, but the rapper/producer is known for being a perfectionist and making last-minute tweaks to his music. Sometimes the final album is different than the version that leaks only days before the official release date.

Kanye’s new music is said to be “dark” and “really good.” That doesn’t reveal much, but, if we’re all interpreting Kanye’s tweet correctly, we won’t have to wait much longer to hear it for ourselves.
