The Guys Behind the ‘Gallon Smashing’ Prank Video Just Got Criminal Charges

This is a story that’s either justice porn or an example of how our criminal justice system targets the wrong people, depending on what you thought of this popular prank video (which depicts three Virginia teenagers pretending to trip and fall while holding jugs of milk in a grocery store, sending milk flying in all directions):

Chances are the guys who made that video aren’t laughing about their prank anymore — all three of them (two brothers and a cousin) are now facing criminal charges.

Each milk-soaked prankster is charged with seven counts of destruction of property and disorderly conduct, but the charges are all misdemeanors. They are being charged as juveniles and have reportedly cooperated with authorities, so it’s likely they will get off with little more than a slap on the wrist.

In an appearance on the TV show RightThisMinute prior to being charged, one of the three pranksters said that they “kind of” feel sorry for what they did.

“But I mean, it was just an innocent prank,” he added.

  1. SO GLAD THESE IDIOTS ARE GETTING WHAT’S DUE TO THEM! The world has to question when destruction of property becomes a prank. One of them said he “kind of feels sorry”, well as someone who used to work in grocery stores and had to clean up things like this I can tell you that it is a HUGE pain in the A**!! It gets under shelving units and can lead to bacteria issues. If he had to clean it up himself he’d feel more than “kind of sorry”. And let’s not forget the people around them who were the lucky recipients of the splash zone and had to walk around with wet and sticky legs. They could’ve caused someone else to slip and fall leading to potential lawsuits. These three d-bags deserve everything they get and should learn how to be funny instead of destructive.
