It’s that time of year.
If you ever played football, your feet probably get a little itchy when late July rolls around. The NFL lights the fire with their camps and practices, and within a couple weeks the nation’s university and high school programs will be snapping on their hats and hitting the field.
In four short weeks, you’ll be able to step outside early in the morning, take a deep breath through your nose holes and exhale with a joyous, “It’s football season!”
To help you get amped for the upcoming season, here’s Adrian Peterson working out with the Minnesota Vikings from his helmet cam point-of-view.
C’mon now!? Who else is ready to lace ’em up?
I love these personal video perspectives from running backs and receivers. You get the opportunity to see how hard that ball is coming, even on a simple screen pass.
It’s also intriguing to see Peterson running a few new routes. There’s one in particular that is taken straight out of the New Orleans Saints playbook. It only makes sense to get Adrian Peterson into space more often as a route runner. It’s the one aspect of his game that could use a little more diversity.
And what’s most impressive about this entire video? The fact that Peterson was polite enough to offer a “thanks” to the water boy.
