Did you think The Simpsons was a thing of the past? Never. It’s pretty much the show that won’t die. And now there are even more ways for Matt Groening to profit from one of the longest-running shows in television history. You can find examples of this profit potential at the Universal theme parks in Hollywood, Calif. (technically Universal City, Calif.) and Orlando, Fla.
The Orlando park has upped the ante by offering Simpsons fans an opportunity to take in a few favorite Springfield eateries and watering holes in person. Guests can choose from Krusty Burger, Luigi’s, The Frying Dutchman, Cletus’ Chicken Shack and of course, Moe’s Tavern. Yes, Moe’s advertises a Flaming Moe. Something tells me it won’t contain cough syrup, but you can probably sneak your own into the park. (Such a statement is in no way an endorsement for such behavior, but merely a hypothetical wondering…) They also offer Duff Beer for those who are into more traditional cartoon beverages.
In terms of vittles and “meals,” you can get everything from an original Krusty Burger to Lard Lad donuts to the Sideshow Bob Foot Long. Oh yes. When I think appetizing theme park food, it doesn’t get better than an association of Kelsey Grammer‘s voice and the words “foot long.”
For a better look at everything offered, here’s an odd video.
