A 19-year-old Florida man was arrested and charged with abuse of an emergency system after he twice called 911 to report that his mom was being mean to him.
Oh, Florida Man, what hijinks will you get up to next? For the sake of your growing legacy, let’s hope that it’s something a little less embarrassing than a mean mom.
After his first call to 911, police warned Vincent Valvo not to abuse the emergency system and explained what penalties he would face if he did it again. When asked what emergency he was calling about, all he could say was that he “didn’t like how his mom was talking to him.” Police did not specify what his mother may have said.
After the second call from Valvo, which took place at about 4:30 a.m., police swiftly moved in to arrest and charge him.
Unsurprisingly, police responding to the call noticed a strong scent of alcohol on Vavlo’s breath.
Valvo was released from jail yesterday on $500 bond. He’s due in court next month. By that point, spending a few months in the slammer might sound like an appealing option to him — there’s no telling how mean his mom is going to be to him after this embarrassing incident.
