As you’ve probably heard, DeAndre Jordan had himself a bit of a dunk the other night, at the expense of Brandon Knight. The video was widely circulated on the Internet, but it seemed to be lacking some kind of intangible element that would take it from awesome to epic.
That element has been discovered. It’s pro wrestling commentary. Good, old-fashioned, ridiculously hyperbolic, spit-flying-out-of-the-mouth pro wrestling commentary.
Some clever fan had the idea of remixing the video of Jordan’s monstrous dunk with audio of WWE commentator Jim Ross taken from the “Hell in a Cell” match at 1998’s King of the Ring pay-per-view event — the one where the Undertaker threw Mankind off the top of the cell and onto the Spanish announcers’ table below — and the result is perfection.

Of course, every good idea on the Internet spawns innumerable rip-offs, and the Jim Ross-sports highlight mash-up videos have started to roll in.
