We’re a little late to the party on this story, as pretty much every sports site in the world has this video. We kind of have to post it, though. It’s that good. We’d be in violation of some kind of man-law if we didn’t make this video available to you.
Heck, if you’ve already seen it on another site this morning, why not watch it again? It’s worth your 45 seconds.
If you haven’t seen it yet, you’re in for a bit of a treat. Here’s what you need to know: Jamaal Crawford tossed up a juicy, between-the-legs alley-oop pass to Blake Griffin during an uncontested fast break in the Clippers-Bucks game last night and Griffin threw it down, one-handed, with the greatest of ease.
Ho hum. Just another night at the office for the NBA’s funnest team.
Some have argued that the maneuver was needlessly complicated (and a little show-offy) for something that happened during a real game, but screw those people. Sure, it looks like something you’d see in the dunk contest, but there were no defenders anywhere around and it worked. If it had failed and the Clippers lost by a bucket, then maybe there would be an argument that it was a bad idea (and Crawford and Griffin would probably agree). It ain’t bragging if you back it up, though.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was at the game last night and had the pleasure of seeing the alley-oop in person. This is what he had to say after the game:
Love watching the bucks. Lob city was unreal tonight. Gotta be sportscenter #1 Crawford to griffin. Wow. @drewgooden best midrange in arena
