Professional basketball players tend to be big guys, so they need some room to stretch their lanky limbs.
Michael Jordan might have gone a tad overboard, though.
Jordan and fiancee Yvette Prieto have reportedly just moved in to their sprawling Florida palace, which sits on three acres of land smack-dab in the middle of an ultra-exclusive golf course owned by Jack Nicklaus, The Bear’s Club (membership dues: $350,000-ish).
The price tag of Jordan’s new abode: $735 trillion. Or thereabouts.
A closer cost estimate is in the neighborhood of $13 million, considering that the land alone cost Jordan a reported $4.8 million, and construction of the 11-bedroom house — which took a couple of years, understandably — came to another $7.6 million and change.
The house has a full-size basketball court (natch) and, according to TMZ, a giant home theater equipped with state-of-the-art ventilation systems able to handle massive clouds of cigar smoke.
Here’s hoping the home theater shows something other than an endless loop of Space Jam.
