The vast majority of wrestling fans realize the outcomes of matches are scripted.
That doesn’t mean they necessarily agree with the script.
Take Michael, for instance.
Michael loves CM Punk, who was the reigning WWE champion — for a record-breaking 434 days — heading into last night’s Royal Rumble event.
Michael, like millions of WWE fans, loves CM Punk because he’s a straight-shooting anti-hero who rails against the the status quo and serves as a “Voice of the Voiceless,” as Michael’s form-fitting t-shirt says.
Michael really, really wanted CM Punk to defeat his nemesis, wrestler-turned-Hollywood-star-turned-wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, in the main event of the Royal Rumble.
Michael was displeased, to say the least, when The Rock defeated Punk by delivering his showy, ridiculous signature maneuver, The People’s Elbow.
Michael threw a bit of a tantrum. Thankfully, a female with a camera caught the action, which featured the kind of blind rage and shouting and smashing that some professional wrestlers take years to master.
Behold Michael’s fury, which is arguably more entertaining than the typical WWE Divas’ match:
Michael stopped short of elbow-dropping his collection of wrestling DVDs, but we can always look forward to his reaction when The Rock defeats John Cena at WrestleMania 29 this April.
