World War Z Teaser-Trailer Debuts Thursday: Sneak Peek (VIDEO)

A few little peeks. That’s all we’ve got… A few little peeks.

We freakin’ love zombies, don’t we? The Walking Dead, 28 Days Later, Night of The Living Dead, Dawn of The Dead, Day of The Dead, Zombieland… We love zombies. There is something essentially “fight or flight” about zombies. They give birth to discussion such as, “What would your weapon of choice be vs. a zombie?” and “Do zombies poop?”

We’re about 9 months from the scheduled release of the Brad Pitt zombie vehicle, World War Z. This film…is going to be huge. Huge! It could very well be the box office standard of 2013. So. How about a peek at the peek that will be offered on Thursday, exclusively on Entertainment Tonight:

We’re dealing with some ridiculously fast, ridiculously athletic zombies in this one. It was almost overwhelming seeing the tease of the teaser.

I’m one of those weirdos who loves movies so much that I don’t really like to see more than a little bit of a tease from a teaser. If I know I’m going to see it, I avoid all trailers like the plague. I close my eyes and hold my ears in the theater, because I want nothing but a blank canvas going into the experience.

How geeked are you? Will you tune into Entertainment Tonight on Thursday to see the first official WWZ teaser?

And for you zombie lovers, here’s a little bonus from the 30Films crew in L.A. (Yeah, they make 30 second genre flics.)

  1. I don’t have high hopes for this movie just because I read the book, and the way it’s written doesn’t really lend itself to “action movie”. The whole story is told in the form of interviews with survivors after the fact.

I guess we’ll see what happens, but I refuse to get my hopes up, and this trailer teaser doesn’t change that.

    • Excellent point. That would explain the marathon rewrites for the script… We’ll see…

    • OMG! This movie looks awesome, and the concept and story line with selected details, in the hands of expert screen writers, definitely lends itself to an excellent and very scary on screen experience. Brad Pit is starring in this movie!! He is at the point in his career where he can pick and choose, and he would not choose anything substandard. I have great hopes and can’t wait to see World War Z!!!
