You probably didn’t wake up this morning with the idea that you’d see video of an incredible goal from the world of field hockey. You’re going to, though, so try to prepare yourself as best you can. If you need to take a couple seconds, do it now.
Here we go:

That was the University of Richmond’s Rebecca Barry scoring an absolutely ridiculous goal against Temple. She just toys with the defense and the goalie, casually flipping it over their heads before knocking the ball (I’m assuming they call it a ball and not a puck in field hockey–I’m not gonna look it up, so just deal with it) into the back of the net for a goal (or is it a home run? Again, not looking it up).
That’s gotta be one of the best field hockey goals ever, right? If not, it’s not like anyone would know.
I have no idea who won this game and, frankly, I don’t really care. It was many years ago that I last witnessed field hockey in any form and it will surely be many more before it once again becomes a tiny part of my life.
I’m just going to sit back and enjoy this moment. Right now, field hockey is awesome and that goal was super sweet.
