Surprise, surprise.
Brigitte Nielsen and Arnold Schwarzenegger are both fessing up to the wild affair they shared during the filming of Red Sonja.
It’s pretty sad to see old people desiring attention like they’re still in their 20s or 30s. And their subsequent realization that the only reason they people wanted to take a look at them so desperately back in the day, was because of the way they looked in their 20s and 30s. And in all fairness, 40s–Nielsen still clinging to her final year. But 50s? And 60s? Not so much.
Which has led both of these maturing, former hot-bods to write tell-all books/memoirs…the lifting of the symbolic rug to show off everything that was swept underneath. The opening of the closets to reveal all the skeletons.
In the Schwarzenegger tell all, appropriately entitled, “Total Recall,” the action star and former bury-California-in-the-ground Governor, stated that his affair with Nielsen, which took place when he was in a supposed monogamous relationship with Maria Shriver, who he was also living with at the time, triggered his desire to make Maria his wife. Because nothing says, “I wanna marry you!” like laying track with a co-star.
Nielsen would go on to co-star in Rocky IV, as well as Cobra with Sylvester Stallone, who became her husband…for a cool 20 months or so.
