Joe Francis. This guy is King Douche. To steer legally clear of the wrath of Francis. This is merely my opinion. I try so very hard to say nice things about anyone and everyone, but I straight-up loathe Joe Francis. He may be your demi-god, and please know that I’m not judging you for your appreciation of the guy–though I am tempted to ask why. To be fair and balanced, I do remember his large donation to the American Red Cross following Hurricane Katrina.
You may know Joe as the founder of the “Girls Gone Wild” empire. But those who are more familiar, know him as the mouthy fool who has long been in way over his head. The things he says, the life he leads? Foolish. He has made himself public enemy #1 with a lot of daddy’s across America. Sure, he can take my criticism, then wipe his tears and blow his nose with fat stacks of cash. However, those stacks will be slight smaller after a jury ordered King Easy Money to pay an extra 20 million in punitive damages to Vegas hospitality mogul, Steve Wynn. This on top of the 20 million that Wynn sued for.
Francis opened his mouth, and made a claim that Wynn threatened to kill him and bury him in the desert. Francis maintains that this statement was made, and that he felt his life was threatened. If such were true, as Francis claimed in court…and he was truly concerned for his well being, wouldn’t he, with all of the resources at his disposal, do something about it legally? Restraining order? Something?
As you’d imagine, Steve Wynn didn’t take kindly to this statement, so he got his team of absurdly powerful attorneys to open the throttle and hammer Francis for slanderous speech.
The jury agreed with Wynn’s team, and left Francis and his attorney, Aaron Aftergood, shaking their hands and planning an appeal. This battle of big money has just gotten interesting.
