US Airways flight 1267. It was scheduled to fly from Philadelphia to Dallas on Wednesday. 30 minutes into the flight, the pilot announced they were having technical difficulties and returned the aircraft to Philly. Were the difficulties technical? No.
The issue was with a passenger by the name of Christopher Shell. He was enjoying his 29th birthday on the flight, until they landed in Philly, and police boarded the aircraft to remove him in handcuffs. The charge? He was traveling with explosives.
An anonymous caller tipped off authorities that Shell had boarded the plane with explosives. The call turned out to be a hoax. What police and investigators now believe to be a birthday prank offered by one of Shell’s friends…or perhaps an enemy. This seems more like nemesis territory it’s so harsh. Regardless, authorities searched Shell, his belongings and the plane and found nothing.
Shell responded during the ordeal with the following Facebook post:

This was before the poop hit the fan. After the ordeal he had this to say:

I’m sure everyone else who was on the flight find the scenario to be just as entertaining, and potentially profitable. And we no longer wonder if he has a friend or friends who would offer such a douche-move as a birthday prank. Shell definitely needs some new friends.
