Marcus Thomas, DT for the NY Giants, has a problem. A problem that has become relatively consistent. The Giants big man has been confused for another Marcus Thomas in EA Sports Madden franchise.
According to Thomas, from the NYG, the game had the right photo during his rookie season, but ever since he shared a slice of time on a roster with another Marcus Thomas, when both were with the Denver Broncos, they have confused the two. The other Thomas has not played in the league since 2009.
Man, it sucks to be listed on a video game doesn’t it? Oh, the plight of the highly paid NFL player. I’m not just making light. I get it. And I can sympathize with Marcus Thomas. If I were listed on a game, I’d probably want it to be my face as well, as opposed to some other guy’s face who shares the same name.
Thomas went off on Twitter. It was quite comical:
the creators of madden needs to b slapped for putting an imposter pic in place of me that’s not me for the last time I don’t look like that. I been in the nfl going on 6 years and y’all still hav another mans face for my pic on madden i hate y’all hate is very strong but I do. How y’all gone hav my pic rookie season and then change it to a completely dif person for ds rest of my career.
Not to rub salt in his wound, but the other Marcus Thomas isn’t an impostor. He really is Marcus Thomas. And he smiles.
