So, whattaya do when you buy that pricey first-class ticket on Qantas, flying from LAX to Melbourne, and then you’re told that those super-comfy pajamas that you love so much are not available in XL? What…do you do?
Two Australian passengers were presented such a situation, and they were none-to-pleased about it. The crew on the Airbus A380 Superjet, scrambled to find a solution, offering the couple business-class XL pajamas, as they had none of the first-class PJs available. The couple declined, proceeded to complain, delayed the flight departure by 30 minutes, and then decided to get off the plane just before it taxied from the terminal to the runway.
Forget that 15 hour flight without some first-class XL pajamas. And out of curiosity…do you say pa-jam-uhs or pah-jah-muhs? A fan of Bananas in Pajamas, I roll with the former. Digressing…
I’m glad these two folks were Australian. Hearing the story, I just knew it was going to be some whiny, fat Americans…just more fuel to the present fire of disdain for our contemporary American culture. But, it seems that such behavior is universal. Which is maybe even more discouraging? Some people just have to live large…and some people just have to live extra-large.
According to one passenger, the captain offered the following as they pushed back for their taxi.
Just to inform you all, the reason we’ve had the delay is because two of our first class passengers refused to fly on this plane as there were no extra large pyjamas on board for them.
Have a great weekend!

The PJs arent even great quality. I made dusters of the last lot of QF First jarmies I was given! And they actually thought other passenders would sympathise with them. Qhat a pair of self important, delusional prats!
