Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” has held down the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven straight weeks, breaking Lady Gaga’s record (“Born This Way” held the spot for six weeks) and leading Gaga to issue a playful warning to Jepsen via Twitter:
@carlyraejepson I SEE you just swooped in and broke my BORN THIS WAY record of the most weeks at #1. DONT GET COMFORTABLE IM COMING FOR YOU

The video for “Call Me Maybe” has been watched over 170,000,000 times on YouTube, making it one of the most-watched videos in human history. It has been covered literally thousands of times.
And the covers are still coming. Well, the lip dubs, at least.
If you still have an appetite for “Call Me Maybe” covers, here’s one that might be worth watching. It features Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte and the rest of the US Olympic swim team. They don’t really bring many new ideas to the table, but some of them are sort of famous, and most of them are attractive, so maybe that’s enough to make this a video worth watching.
