In his first interview following the Tiki Theater incident in Hollywood, Fred Willard spoke about the alleged incident, which he claims is alleged. Clearly relying on humor, Willard does say that he did nothing wrong, that he was at the theater, yet in terms of lewd behavior? Not the case.
What I felt was sad about the whole thing–it seems the 72 year old comedian was set up. That someone running the joint obviously recognized Willard from his decades in the business, and let someone know he was there. Maybe there are always cops in theaters like this, just waiting to snag someone who exposes, but either way, it was an error in discretion on behalf of Willard, whether he was massaging the one-eyed trouser snake or simply watching a foray into terrible filmmaking.

Gotta love that Fallon held nothing back. Trying to gently toe the line, setting up Willard for a pretty sweet punchline…but it seemed that Jimmy came back to the well one-too-many times towards the end, didn’t it? I can’t imagine ever having to sit in the public spotlight after such an incident, which I suppose, is why I’ll never enter into anything labeled Tiki, unless it’s at Disneyland.
