New Low Reached As TLC Begins Airing Promos For ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ (VIDEO)

Remember Honey Boo Boo? She’s the young, pudgy pageant contestant who caused a minor controversy when it was revealed on TLC’s Toddlers & Tiaras that her mom fed her “go go juice,” a sugar- and caffeine-filled concoction, before pageants. She called herself “Honey Boo Boo Child” (he real name’s Alana) and remarked that “a dolla makes me holla.”

Get reacquainted with her, if you dare:

Now, Honey Boo Boo’s getting her own show. Here Comes Honey Boo Boo is set to begin airing next month on TLC and promos for the show just debuted. You can watch the trailer over at Gawker.

To say that a new low for all of humanity has been achieved would be putting it far too nicely. This is a show about self-proclaimed rednecks. They are rude, unhealthy (not only in terms of body mass, but they also have freakin’ head lice) and pretty much all-around disgusting people. At one point, they are literally jumping in a puddle of mud.

We’re at the point where one has to wonder what pleasure anyone might gain from watching a show like this. It’s one thing to watch a show to relax and feel better about your own life, but this is just straight-up celebration of the degradation of culture. To watch this show is to actively participate in the end of the American empire.

So… it’s going to get huge ratings, right?

It’s still beyond me that people find this entertaining in the least. It’s almost as painful to watch as animals being led to the slaughter.

This Honey Boo Boo series is NOT a positive portrayal of the family, and if they really are that crude and vulgar, they should not publicize it. Imaging Alana..the little girl growing up with such a stigma!!! This little girl is a victim of her parents exploiting her for their own financial gain, and they do not care about the long term consiquences it will have on this child. I hope Honey boo boo will not become the victim of bullying in school and in public. I saw previews of Honey Boo Boo, but refuse to watch this discustingly vulgar and crude spectacle.

  2. I was completely against this show at firs! But I have to say after watching, I like them. They are not what I thought they would be at all! They are actually clean, neat, cost effective and seem like a very close happy family….the close and happy is the most important thing in life, so who are we to judge…And as far as the one teen being pregnant, on teen mom, some of those girls came from what we consider the NORM? So, I judge this negatively at firs, but I can’t now! Good luck to you and your family!!!

  3. 19 kids and counting, they exploit there kids…mom has babies..I am christine, but mom hands off a child to an older one, her mother does all the laundry and she teachers school and has been pregnant her whole life…so seriously which is worse?

  4. TLC has really gone downhill with this Honey BOO BOO. She and her whole family make my husband and I sick. I once loved TLC , Now, with this trash, we watch something else.

I cannot believe that THE LEARNING CHANNEL has allowed this garbage on their Network, they should be ashamed of themselves & where’s CPS? This is an Exploitation of the little girl-BIGTIME. She’s disgusting, loud mouthed, rude, abnoxious, has to be the center of attention. Good luck putting her in school-good luck again in finding one that would take her. I don’t know how people could actually watch this show. They all are missing their Moral Compass’s, among other things… please take it off the air.
