It’s the middle of July. We’re entering the dog days of summer in the Major League Baseball season, but not much else is going on in the world of sports. Euro 2012 is over. The NBA and NHL seasons are distant memories. NFL training camps don’t open for a few more weeks. Neither do the London Summer Olympics. Unless you like baseball, or you’re a weirdo who follows Canadian football, it’s very difficult to use sports to escape from your mundane life right now.
Things are so bleak that the best highlight from the world of sports this week came out of the NBA Summer League. Yes, there is such a thing as the NBA Summer League.
In the clip below, Jeremy Pargo of the Memphis Grizzlies pulls off two ankle-breaking crossovers and finishes the play off with a ridiculous no-look pass to teammate Mitchell Watt for the dunk.

If this play had happened in December, in a real NBA game, it would be all over SportsCenter. Instead, it’s barely a blip on the radar as the sports world staggers through this month with its collective eyes barely open.
