Michael Clarke Duncan Suffers Heart Attack, in ICU Recovering

He’s everyone’s favorite Teddy Bear who could rip you in half. And now he’s in need of some positive thoughts, well wishes and a lot of prayers for a speedy recovery.

Michael Clarke Duncan experienced what has been classified as a myocardial infarction, most commonly known as a heart attack, around 2 a.m. on Friday, July 13th.

He was found unresponsive by his girlfriend, Omarosa Stallworth, who performed CPR to revive him. Omarosa is best known for her fame, and perhaps infamy on The Apprentice. One thing is for certain, she’s a woman of action and she knew exactly what to do when she found Duncan in a state of dire need.

Duncan was admitted to a Los Angeles area hospital, where he was placed in Intensive Care to be further treated by specialists. While no additional information has been released in the last several hours, it has been reported that the actor should make a full recovery.

Duncan recently wrapped the independent boxing drama, The Challenger, and according to director Kent Moran, Duncan’s health seemed in top form during the shooting process, and this news came as a surprised considering his recent ability to pull off a very physical role.

I know Kent through the indie scene, and easily trust his opinion and perspective, yet would like to add… Physical aesthetic and performance capability can be deceiving. There’s a lot going on inside the body that is easily masked by a healthy “look.”

To piggyback Charlotte Hannah’s suggestion to avoid poisonous snakes because they turn your blood into Jello…get your heart and blood river system checked out so you don’t have to experience a scare like this. This has been your second Manolith public service announcement of Friday the 13th. Have a great weekend.

And… get well, Michael! You’re a gem of a human being.
