NBA star Tony Parker was partying in the club where Chris Brown and Drake had their now-infamous fight. Though Brown got cut on the face (and needed stitches) in the brawl, Parker got the worst of it. The San Antonio Spurs point guard got glass in his eye from some broken bottles.
Now, Parker is suing the club where the incident took place for a whopping $20 million.
Parker filed papers in a Manhattan Supreme Court, alleging that he suffered a “corneal laceration of the left eye and other injuries.” In the documents, Parker places blame on the club for allowing a hostile situation to develop:
“The defendants were reckless, careless and negligent in permitting Drake’s entourage and Brown’s entourage to be in the club at the same time despite known tension between the two.”
Parker didn’t even realize that he was injured at first, which kind of throws cold water on his lawsuit. He traveled back to France (where he’s from) before deciding to visit a doctor. He was prescribed a special contact lens and instructed to take a week off from playing basketball.
As a result of this break, Parker has missed the start of practices with the French Olympic basketball team.
Does he deserve $20 million for that?
