I feel I owe so much to Conan O’Brien. Genuinely. This guy has been making me laugh for almost 20 years. And when he’s not, he’s playing facilitator, and bringing other forms of awesome to the screen…or the live stage. Namely, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. I caught Triumph live in Vegas a few years back for Poopapalooza 2, and my face literally hurt from laughing so hard.
The past week, Conan has been taping his TBS talk show in Chicago. Paying homage to many famous Chicago landmarks, Conan employed the services of one Jack McBrayer to venture to one of the most unique places on the planet, and a true Chicago institution: The Wiener’s Circle. At The Wiener’s Circle, the employees insult you. Sure, they serve up delicious dogs of all varieties, both steamed and charred, but they insult you. And always expect to be tipped.
The ever-friendly Jack McBrayer, from 30 Rock, ventured to the Chicago landmark to enjoy a dog, and a few insults. After feeling completely abused, he offered a little twist to the throw down. Turnabout, as they say, is fair play.
