The two media titans sat down recently to hash things out. Some of the topics up for discussion: their heated media showdowns, the use of the N-word, and 50 cent’s dog named Oprah…
What do you do when one of the most respected media figure asks you about naming your dog after them? “I heard you had a b—- named Oprah, that’s what I heard,” Oprah says to the rapper.
“At the time, I was just looking at the situation and I saw I was developing negative feelings for someone who doesn’t even know me–and I gave it to the dog,” 50 says almost shyly and softly.
It’s evident from their rapport that they have buried the hatchet. The two began butting heads when the rapper heard Oprah discussing her beliefs on the show.
“I would see moments when you would discuss your feelings on the culture and everything that was wrong with the culture was what was on my CD, and I was like, ‘Oh, she doesn’t like me.'”
Oprah went on to say that what he said was “interesting” and that she heard him say the following: “‘I had white women in my audience that were as old as your grandmother…’ I felt that that was a pointed criticism.”
However, it seems that the two have let bygones be bygones. 50 cent also has a Twitter account @OprahTheDog, in which he pretends to be his beloved Oprah Winfree.
