If you don’t know what the Humble Indie Bundle is by now, you’re either not a very serious gamer or you’ve been living under a rock. It’s a package of multi-platform (PC, Linux and Mac) video games created by independent developers that is sold for whatever the customer wants to pay.
The most recent Bundle, the fifth edition of this deal, includes the acclaimed indie games Psychonauts, LIMBO, Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP and Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Just one of these games would be a great deal at the price of whatever you want to pay, but getting them all is an insane deal.
Customers clearly agree, as the Bundle has already been sold over 245,000 times (and the ticker, which you can see on the site, is rising rapidly). This accounts to sales of more than $1 million, which shatters the old Humble Bundle record. Not too shabby, when you consider that the pricing scheme is by donation.
One factor pushing the numbers upwards may be that you get the game Bastion included in your package if you pay more than the average price paid by those who made a purchase before you. As of right now, the average price is just $7.66.
The deal remains available for another 13 days, so there is no need to rush. Still… what are you waiting for? Go get yourself five ridiculously good indie game for under ten bucks.
