Actor Nick Stahl Remains a Missing Person

He’s got a resume longer than you might guess–including Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, and the critically acclaimed The Thin Red Line. Nick Stahl has always been one of those guys that seemed supremely talented, quite unrefined and eternally disenchanted by Hollywood. He’s now missing, and police are on the lookout for his whereabouts.

Stahl was reported missing on Monday morning by his estranged wife, Rose Murphy. She has not seen or heard from the actor since May 9th, and suggested to police that he had been spending a lot of time on L.A.’s Skid Row. If you live in L.A., you’re well familiar with what this means. And if you’re not, yes, it’s as seedy as it sounds–violence not as prominent as the funkiest funk of a drug and mental illness scene that you’ll see this side of a self-serve meth lab in the Midwest.

Stahl and Murphy share a daughter, Marlo, and Murphy recently asked the court for Stahl’s interaction be limited with her, until he could actively prove that he is not using drugs. In fact, she was lenient enough to suggest that 24 hours of sobriety before seeing their daughter would suffice. Clearly, this story doesn’t look like it will have a positive outcome, even if Stahl is found in the near future.

Police do not believe that foul play is involved–Nick Stahl could very well be aware that he has been listed as a missing person, and prefers to keep it that way. Regardless, LAPD officers have passed photos of the actor to individuals who are “regulars” in the Skid Row area.
