This is just sad…on so many levels.
The star of 19 kids and counting, Michelle Duggar, miscarried during her 20th pregnancy. I’m genuinely sad for the family, but honestly, this is too much. I understand that if you want this many children, and you can support this many children, it’s really none of my business, but honestly, when is enough…enough?
You can’t say that this is surprising news, but it’s still somehow surprising–because Duggar has basically been a baby factory for over two decades.
The mother of 19, is 45 and this is her second miscarriage. The first occurred during her second pregnancy, when she was unaware that she was pregnant and still taking birth control. This is pretty much when the baby makin’ began, because Michelle Duggar and her husband Jim decided that they would just roll naturally and let the amount of children be “up to God.” I can certainly respect that when you can take care of your children…which all 19 are well taken care of.
I suppose I’m just a victim of the perspective of this modern western culture.
You must appreciate the way of nature, and the lives that have been set in motion, but I honestly think that this woman would continue to become pregnant until the day she experienced “the change,” or something became damaged or life threatening.
The family plans to name the baby and hold a funeral service, as Michelle was in the midst of her second trimester.
