Mike Rowe, Inmate, Sues Mike Rowe, Dirty Jobs Host, Who Responds By Suing His Parents

By Jeremy Suede on November 22nd, 2011

When he’s not shoveling shit (literally), hawking Lee jeans or trying to convince us to buy a Ford, TV personality Mike Rowe is really just a cool guy.  The Dirty Jobs host was recently named in a copyright lawsuit by another gentleman named Mike Rowe who also happens to be a prisoner in a South Dakota prison.  Mike Rowe, prisoner, copyrighted his name earlier this year and now he thinks he can sue Mike Rowe, TV host, because of the infringement as well as the personal ridicule he receives by his fellow inmates.  Apparently, he gets called “Dirty Jobs” or “Dirtiest Guy” everywhere he goes (in the prison) and the emotional stress is just too much.

Mike Rowe, TV host, could have been cool by simply ignoring this obvious frivilous lawsuit and move on.  But no.  He has played along and has responded by saying that he agrees with prisoner Mike Rowe and will in turn sue his parents for naming him the same name as prisoner Mike Rowe.

“My attorneys are taking the charges very seriously. Naturally, since I got my last name from my Dad, I’m preparing my own lawsuit against him.”

He adds, “And since my first name was my Mother’s idea, she’ll be named as well. It’s a bit awkward, but I’ll be damned if I’m gonna be left holding the bag on this one.”

Now that’s funny.  But wait, it gets better.

“If they’d named me Steve or Frank, none of this would be an issue.  As for the other Mike Rowe, I really do feel his pain, and can only suggest that he avoid Lee jeans while behind bars. They really do make your butt look good.”

Well played Mr. Rowe (non-prisoner), well played.
