Petition Calls for Boycott of the Kardashians

By James Sheldon on November 16th, 2011

A petition, eh?

Well. It’s an online petition. We all know how effective those things are. But there is one–offering a plea to E! Entertainment Network to remove “Keeping up With the Kardashians,” as well as all of the Kardashian spin-offs from the airwaves and cable lines. Heck, there are even Facebook Pages dedicated to the downsizing of the Kardashian pimpire–all these efforts have gained quite a following.

As a matter of fact, we, the vast majority who can’t stand anything that comes out of the mouths of the Kardashians, would love to know why people do enjoy watching what the Kardashians say and do.

Here’s the deal, petition people. You’re targeting the wrong eyes. You want the show off the air? Go after the companies using the Kardashians as an advertising vehicle. It’s the fuel for the idiocy. The advertising dollars. E! is going to keep airing the Kardashians based on the total product and profit, not based on how many people possess a disdain for the world’s most famous Armenians.

If you’re still on the fence about all things Kardashian–remember when Kim crashed the Super Bowl celebration after the Saints victory? Rushed the stage during Reggie Bush and Tracey Porter’s interview? Seriously. She’s got to go.
