A Texas Court-at-Law judge, William Adams, is in extremely hot water today after his daughter, Hillary, released this video of a beating she took back in 2004 when she tried to access the Internet. The video is very disturbing and shows both parents whipping the child who was 16 at the time, repeatedly with a belt and yelling and screaming in her face. Take a look and see for yourself.
Since the video’s release yesterday, his office has released a statement about an investigation that will take place. As of right now, the site has been inundated with calls, faxes and emails about this horrible person.
“I was holding onto the video until the right time,” says Hillary, “and after a barrage of harassment from my father over the phone, I snapped and finally uploaded it. Now I’m sorry I didn’t do it sooner.”
The mother, Hallie Adams, now the judge’s ex-wife, has acknowledged the video on Facebook.
”I am praying for my daughters and me and my family to heal in all ways from emotional and physical abuse, for the current and continuing abuse of my children and me that has been ongoing to end – starting now – for my daughters to both finally be able to go to counseling both individually and as a family group with their Dad’s approval, encouragement, involvement and support, for him to finally make amends to all of us, talk openly with us, and take the first steps to letting our broken family heal.”
An investigation by Judicial Review in Austin is currently taking place after the flood of phone calls and emails. But Judge Adams remains defiant and says that the investigation will only clear his name.
“It happened years ago; I apologized,” he told news outlets. “It’s not as bad as it looks on tape.”
The horror and irony of the situation can hardly be lost on one hand here we have an individual who has the trusted role as family law judge and on the other here we are seeing him brazenly beating his daughter without remorse or within a barometer of reason. It is as if he is unleashing all the torment of his office on his daughter, the effect of which is horrendous considering her disability. In the end one can only wonder what type of punishments this man has administered in his capacity as a judge and whether we should allow such an individual who has an extreme affinity to personal family discipline should be allowed to decide the fate of other individual’s family grievances?
“Beat you to submission?” So much for good discipline… from someone who should know better.

Brought back the horrible memories I still have from my childhood. The child is lucky to be able to survive in this family. Parents are criminals.
I can only imagine that with his judgement concerning his own child how horible his decisions on others children would be. Should Judges not be screened to the max before the are allowed to judge others? The mother appears to be of the same caliber as she now talks about healing her family, him included. This is a really sad video and I fell sorry for this young woman. I hope both parents face the judicary system in a Texas prison where they both belong after witnesses this video. My ex-partner of fourteen years did the same thing to my daughter and he pled guilty before the canadain provincal the courts in Abbotsford BC in 2002 and gratefull to the APD for arresting him via SWAT using the beanbag method. In my daughters case she attempted suicide… So thank you very much Ken Graf I hope that she sues you for the damages that you have caused her. For this young lady I applaud your bravery hang in there and do not allow for anyone to tell you you have done wrong… I pray for you and hopfully you can move forward in your life with support from your good friends.

First off this is MY opinion. Much respect to everyone who have posted theirs. With that out of the way, I can’t believe this man is catching any flak at all. I had the living HELL beat out of me when I was growing up. I’ve been whipped with belts(got used to these at an early age) wiffle ball bats(stings quite a bit but you get used to them)switches(southern style of whipping,no way you can get used to these,they HURT!)house shoes,and the mother of all whipping tools,extension cords(the only item I find fault with,extremely painful and was only reserved for those times when I signed my parents names to homework I didn’t turn in).I mention these things because I believe that corporal punishment helped keep me on the right side of the law,taught me how to respect not only my parents,but all adults,and was a major deterrent so I wouldn’t do stupid things growing up. I don’t believe in child abuse,but I do believe a good whipping has an effect on a childs behavior. Many people will say it scars the child emotionally and physically. To that argument I say as long as you’re not beating the child until you break the skin,break bones, and keep it within reason it is justified. I believe with out a doubt this should be considered abuse. To the people that said they were beaten and it was good for them, for me personally my parents never hit me and i respected and listened to them because of that. This is disturbing and plain wrong. This judge is a very “tough” guy when it comes to a defenseless young girl. I bet this sadistic bully would be a coward if he faced someone his own size. He has brought more violence to an already violent world, and apparently destroyed his family in the process. We often hear from those who fight to uphold this practice for those under the age of 18 (even to the blaming of the social maladies of the day on a supposed “lack” of it), but we rarely, if ever, find advocates for the return of corporal punishment to the general adult community, college campuses, inmate population, or military. Why is that?
Ask ten unyielding proponents of child/adolescent/teenage-only “spanking” about the “right” way to do it, and what would be abusive, indecent, or obscene, and you will get ten different answers.

I don’t know the whole story as none will probably know. I don’t see any abuse in the story maybe abit ruff but I will say she could not have been from my black family.
