This is going to be the new Halloween thing, isn’t it? Every year, roll out a different incarnation of the super-cheap Paranormal Activity series.
For all of the money the first one made, Paranormal Activity was a near-insufferable movie. The characters weren’t likeable, you wanted them to die, and every time a big scare happened, you knew it was coming. It was made for a shoestring and two dimes, though, so after it grossed its money back in the first festival screening it went to, Hollywood got on the bandwagon. That bandwagon includes releasing sequels every few years – this time? Paranormal Activity 3. What can you expect?

MORE demons that love themselves on camera!
MORE creepy children that seem oddly attuned to the paranormal!
MORE douchey characters that may or may not be likeable!
Who am I kidding? We’re all going to go see this. And then wonder why we did, if we can get our money back, or if the next demon that appears out of nowhere will somehow destroy the camera so we’ll be forced to watch that movie.
That would be a kindler, gentler demon. Get your costumes ready people, because Halloween’s a-coming.
