You’d think for a man who was so good at making so few movies get so much money, Chris Tucker would be more likely to hold onto what he earns. But alack. He is not that man.
Chris Tucker, notable star of the Rush Hour film series, and Friday — has not figured out how to pay off the things that he buys. This is a problem for a man as prestigious as him — when you’re dealing with a star not being able to pay off a house, then it’s major news. When it’s your neighbor, people don’t write stories on the internet about it. So, here goes, Tucker owes Tucker is in the midst of relaunching his standup career, probably because he owes so much money on his earnings. He owes a reported 11.5 million dollars to the IRS and 3.5 million dollars to the state of California. He’s foreclosed on a house he bought in Orlando, but if I were him, I’d pull a Bad Boys and just blow up the house and claim the insurance money. A house like that? You’d turn a pretty penny.
Here’s hoping Chris Tucker can comically karate chop his way out of financial difficulties. If he can’t, I’m sure Brett Ratner will throw him some kind of flotation device.
