When the Occupy Wall Street gang found out that Mayor Bloomberg was sending in the police to clear Zuccotti Park, they took to the world wide web for support.
The plan was to send the protesters packing, so the park could be appropriately cleaned by city service workers. Once the park reopened, it would possess new ordinances that would greatly affect the peaceful protest. No tents, no lying down…a bunch of crap that the man uses to keep the people down.
The police were supposed to move in this morning, but after a tremendous response due to waves of information via Internet, more and more people flocked to the area, and the Zuccotti Park cleaning has been postponed.
I wonder if there was a higher-up that sent word to billionaire Mayor, Mike Bloomberg, to lay off the demonstration. It has remained peaceful, after all. It’s just rubbing the mayor wrong, and that’s probably a good thing.
Am I drinking all the Occupy Wall St. Kool-Aid? Nah. Are you? Probably not. But I love it. I love that people are calling for accountability. While we’re at it, I’d like to call for fairness over equality, and suggest that we lose our brassless nature of political correctness that goes far beyond being polite and courteous. Honestly, kindness goes a long way in offering fairness without having to check logic or boldness at the door.
Wanna hit Zuccotti Park? It’s where all the cool kids are hanging out! You never know who you might meet down there.
