Charlie Sheen has recently had a string of humbling experiences that would make an ordinary man question his life decisions and choices. And for a while it looked like he wasn’t going to accept it. Now he will be forced to grin and bear it as the numbers CBS generated on Monday Night managed to crush any other network that was up against it. Any television show that had been airing for a while, actually. It scored beyond what anybody expected, netting in 27.7 million viewers – giving it the biggest season premiere on any network in years – the last one that scored as high was Desperate Housewives’ second season.
Which means that 2 Broke Girls got the biggest lead-in it could’ve possibly received. The show scored 19.5 million viewers with Two And A Half Men as its lead-in, and Jesus Christ, really? We’re going to have to deal with this for some years now, aren’t we. Whitney Cummings hailed as the kind of woman who really knows how to make sitcoms tick.
