Is anybody surprised that a record label would supplement their artists with narcotics? Anybody? If you are, you don’t know how the music industry works
A giant shake-up is currently happening at Interscope Records, home of your favorite artists like Lady Gaga, Eminem, The Game, and formerly and most importantly – Limp Bizkit. That’s right. THE Limp Bizkit. A major narcotics ring was apparently using the offices of Interscope Records to ship out large amounts of cocaine and money across the United States. Rap music manager James Rosemond has been indicted on 18 felony charges – and now the 46-year-old may be sentenced to life in prison. The kicker? The client list for some of the vehicles included major music artists. But I’m sure we won’t hear about which ones need a little extra supplement. I’m sure their publicists will do everything they can to quash the story about how one of the largest and most successful labels had a criminal enterprise running out of their building.
If you’ve ever been to a music label, you know that they pretty much are aware of everything that goes on in their jurisdiction – so there’s something fishy about this.
Something fishy indeed.
