Entourage Has Ended Officially

By Mark Lorenz on September 12th, 2011

It’s the end of the road. The end of the line. And of the greatest television wealth-porn experience that has aired.

Entourage was one of those shows that could’ve been narrated by Robin Leach — if it had a narrator. Monstrously popular, attracting guest stars of all different statures, it was a mainstay on HBO for the last eight years. And now it’s over with, unless series creator Doug Ellin decides to follow through with plans to turn the series into a movie. But where’d it wrap up?

Vince got engaged, Turtle became a millionaire, and Ari was offered the position of being a studio head. You read correctly. Vince got engaged to a lady, after years of fornicating and flaunting his wealth casually.

So what’ll be in the movie? A celebrity wedding? Is entourage trying that hard to be the male equivalent of Sex and the City?

I watched every episode. And hated it after season 4. But what kept me coming back? Was it the friendship between the four that weathered storms, fame, and being temporarily broke? Was it the accurate portrayal of Hollywood drama?

No. It was, the things that most of us enjoyed — the cars, the views, and the titties. They were magnificent.
