January Jones Dissed by Mad Men Co-Star

By James Sheldon on August 23rd, 2011

So. A Mad Men co-star had little to say about the friendly, or should I say, unfriendly nature of January Jones. Wanna guess? No. Not Jon Hamm. Not Christina Hendricks. Care to venture another…?

Jared Gilmore! Ding, ding, ding.

Ever see January Jones play anyone nice? Apparently a few of her characters have injected ice in her veins. She’s just a cold individual.

When TV Guide asked Gilmore about playing her on-screen son in the AMC hit Mad Men, he responded:

“Be careful around January. She’s not as approachable as the others. She’s really serious about what she does.”

Yeah, kiddo. She’s really serious about what she does. So is Jon Hamm. So is everyone else on the show–or they don’t score and keep a role on that show. At least Gilmore is steeped in sweetness and gave his elder the benefit of the doubt.

She’s an odd one, that January Jones. She seems sweet enough–smiles real pretty. But she’s not what we prefer of the celebrity system. She’s cold. She’s lacking a versatile personality and sense of humor that lends itself to quality interviews and sit downs on talkies.

Remember when she hosted Saturday Night Live? Painful.

Zach Galifianakis recently dropped the hammer on her cold nature as well.

Not to say the girl doesn’t have talent, but there’s a lot to be said about the pros who are well prepared, have the ability to drop and go, and know when to turn it on and turn it off. It’s not like she’s Daniel Day-Lewis.

Digressing. What did little Gilmore have to say about the rest of his co-stars?

“Everyone else is so nice.”

And that…is that.
