One day, Kanye West will learn that money and fame doesn’t always give you the right to say stupid things onstage to a lot of people who paid money to hear you do songs.
Kanye West is one of the biggest contemporary stars we have in music – recognized the world over for his ability to create beats and lavish stage shows, and then act like a complete idiot in every social situation that you put him in. Regardless of where it is. Regardless if he’s done it before. This time it’s comparing himself to Michael Jordan and Hitler, at the Big Chill music festival Saturday. Yeah, when I think of a guy who’s got a fairly cushioned life sitting down in a studio and working with ProTools and whatever musicians he wants to make music, when he can’t play an instrument and hires other people to do that – I think of Michael Jordan and Hitler.
When I think of rappers playing around with phonetic sounds, who are still unable to freestyle insanely, I think of Michael Jordan or Hitler.
Kanye and Jay-Z are on track to move 500 to 600k copies of their album Watch The Throne this week. It should’ve been called, ‘Seriously, dude, think before you talk.’

And unsurprisingly, the media will jump at the opportunity to twist and distort everything the man says in order to gain readership. What Kanye probably meant was that the amount of hate and disgust that people throw at him is comparable to that which people delegate to Hitler. While I don't agree, I can see his point.
