Maybe it’s…..he who should not be named. I’m kidding. He’s dead now. You’d know that if you watched the billion-grossing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
The Harry Potter series have run their course, bringing in millions of book sales, billions of dollars in box office, touched the lives of countless children and adults all over the world, and spawned a theme park so people can live out their fantasies again and again. Where do you wind up after that? An interactive online compendium, where fans can come together, share their love of the books and literature, get information about the back-stories of their favorite characters, all in a website that lets fans beta-test it until it launches in October – Pottermore. Pottermore has already proven to be massively popular, with people waiting up all night to get registered and their accounts in early.
The only problem? People have discovered the huge demand for Pottermore, and are now selling supposed accounts to interested parties….only they don’t have access to the accounts.
That’s how much people love Harry Potter – they’re willing to pay for a website that hasn’t even been launched yet to mysterious strangers on the internet.
Don’t get scammed, you Hufflepuffs.
