Amy Winehouse Might’ve Died From Alcohol Withdrawal?

By Mark Lorenz on July 31st, 2011

What a sad, sad, irony that would be. Provided that it’s true. Which it probably isn’t.

Amy Winehouse, the chanteuse who stole our hearts, and probably our personal possessions in the quest to get herself higher than the sun and stars themselves – might’ve died from alcohol withdrawal. Meaning that she drank so much when she stopped putting alcohol in her system, her CNS went haywire and she suffered from seizures. That would be so unfortunate, and also impossible, considering she was drinking up until the day that she died.

Where’d this information come from? Winehouse’s family. Look, kids, if you can’t admit to yourself that your daughter is in dire need of an intervention, and even past the point of death that she’s ‘Doing great!’ and ‘Okay!’, you need to slow down and take a deep breath, and stop being assholes. The world knows Amy Winehouse is doing things that aren’t good for her – that’s why she’s Amy Winehouse. Somebody needed to step in and do something.

Amy’s will left her impressive fortune to her family, dividing it equally between her father, mother, and brother. Some of the money will go towards creating a foundation to get the less fortunate into substance abuse programs.

Which you can’t hate on.
