Olivia Wilde is going to part of an exciting new trend that deprives us all of seeing what we go to the movies to see – nipples.
What, you like plots and stuff? What are you, some kinda cinema junkie? You want to see strings of moving images tied to pictures and junk. Psh. Whatever. I’m there for the sweet chest candy. The tiny dots of dancing pleasure that only appear when actresses are taking serious roles or coming up to stardom. I’m talking about the nip-nips, cuz.
More and more films have been relying on CGI to build backgrounds, actors that aren’t there, even as a supplement to a stagnating, paper-thin plot. But did you know we can use computers to build nipples? In the upcoming plate o’ cold dookie served fresh to viewers known as The Change-Up, Olivia Wilde has a sex scene with Ryan Reynolds. To preserve her modesty, they slapped pasties on her – but after they filmed, they realized that the pasties were visible to the human eye.
So they hired a team of visual effects guys to recreate her nipples over the pasties. I really hope it wasn’t visual effects guys, just the people who spend their time changing the color filters on pictures to expose people’s nips in casual photographic settings.
Why would Olivia care about modesty in this context? She’s already shown us her boobs on screen.
What I don’t get is if they shot it with pasties, wouldn’t the point be to shoot it so you couldn’t see where her nipples would be? I mean, even if you couldn’t “see” the pasties, you’d know there should be nipples there, so if there weren’t, it would look weird.
So if the pasties are visible in the shot, it sounds like they didn’t want to spend time/money reshooting it and said “what the hell, let’s go ahead and show nipples, just paste some on there.”
