I’m sure that’s what this Southwest Airlines pilot was thinking when this gem hit the web.
During a recent flight, this Southwest pilot’s headset microphone was stuck in the “on” position. Unfortunately, it seemed as if his earphones were defunct. As you will hear in the following tirade, air traffic control attempted to shut him up multiple times, yet his gums just kept a’flappin’.
He spends about two minutes lamenting about his dating life, determined that he can’t score due to the lack of options available within his travel routes. After you listen, you’ll probably agree that the obvious problem lies within this guy’s mirror. He speaks in a derogatory manner towards gays, grannies and “grandes.”
Many of you will find his tirade offensive, some will find it despicable, others will find it to be quite hilarious. I suppose it’s one of those things that if it were a character in a movie, he’d be despicably funny. It was an intriguing listen, if I may say so–I just haven’t heard anyone go off like this since the college days. But then, I’m not easily offended.
It hasn’t been the best year for Southwest. Though their popularity continues to rise due to slick ad campaigns, free baggage check and discounted prices, they’ve had a plane tear open mid-flight and a pilot who will possibly qualify for a Darwin Award nomination. At the very least, he will score several nods for douche of the day.
