The 25th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda was celebrated today on the second day of the E3 conference.
Today the press conference showcased the new Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Game while the theme song was played by a full orchestra. The planned release date is scheduled for Christmas 2011. The game will also include collector’s edition with a gold Wii remote as a special promotion.

That’s not all that’s in store for the Legend of Zelda during its 25th anniversary. There is quite a few titles we can expect to be released this year.
The Nintendo 3DS release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is one such example. It will be released next week. Also, starting today you can download The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for Virtual Console on the Wii.
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords which allows four players to simultaneously play the game at once will also be released this year. This will be a free download.
