E3 2011: Top 9 Game Trailers of 2011

The second day of E3 is upon us and we’re already seeing some awesome trailers for some of the most anticipated game titles this year.

Today we bring you our Top 9 game Trailers of the year in no particular order:

Halo 4

This is a big year for Halo fans – Microsoft just revealed that they will be releasing Halo 4 and Halo an enhanced remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved.  We can expect to see Halo 4 at the end of next year but the remake will be launching as soon as November.

You can watch the trailer below:

Mass Effect 3

Commander Shepard is back to face the ancient alien race known as the Reapers. Create your own unique experience in Mass Effect 3 – you determine how the story plays out, where to explore and who to form alliances with. How you do it is up to you – the game will react to your decisions.

Check out the trailer below:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 a Russian invasion has hit the eastern seaboard and taken over major American cities. Washington D.C. is basically destroyed (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2) and now you’re starting the game in New York City on “Black Tuesday”.

The game doesn’t end in the states though – You’ll travel to London, Africa, the Himalaya Mountains and Russia. Taking in place in bigger more familiar populated areas more is at stake and make the game that much better.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception

After some issues getting the latest version of their E3 demo JUST perfect, the showing of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception went off without a hitch. Naughty Dog has finally confirmed that a collector’s edition will come with a fully functional replica of the traveling chest, steelbook case, belt buckle, drake’s necklace and an exclusive status of Nathan Drake. It is now available for pre-order.

BioShock: Infinite

Bioshock Infinite looked great at the E3 show yesterday. Not only did you get to see the weapons and new power you’ll be granted in the game but you got a little taste of some of the violence and chaos that you’ll be surrounded with in the city of Columbia.

Bioshock will also have Playstation Move support but it hasn’t been revealed how exactly it will work. The PS Vita will also have its own Bioshock game as well.

Check out the trailer below:

Tomb Raider

It’s been awhile since Tomb Raider has come out with a title worth talking about but it looks like Lara Croft has got a bit of a makeover – or make under I should say since Angelina Jolie’s adaptation kinda screwed up the game in my opinion. This game is set as a prequel – the goal? Survive.

Graphics are just breathtaking and the whole thing looks a bit too real. Final Fantasy publishers Square Enix has been in charge of this project and it’s unlike any other Tomb Raider ever made.

Battlefield 3

Battlefield 3 was the highlight of EA’s E3 event yesterday. They showcased some live demonstrations of the game including a surreal tank fight staged in an open desert. The videogame will be released on October 25th, but EA is already talking of hosting an open beta prior to the launch.

Check out the trailer below:

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

The Legend of Zelda was highlighted today at Nintendo’s E3 press conference. On it’s twenty fifth anniversary, Nintendo intends to release a couple of titles this year. The Legend of Zelda: Skward Sword is the big release and it’s expected to be released at the end of the year (perfect for a Christmas gift!) along with a special collector’s gold wii controller.

Fable: The Journey

Integrating with Kinect can be a bit of a challenge – some of the best parts of an RPG game is the ability to sit down with your controller and get lost in the game. I thought Fable: The Journey would be one of those games but the motion sensor integration actually makes the game pretty sweet. Control a horse and buggy like you would in real life, gesture like a wizard to attack your opponents and more with Kinect for Fable.  Can’t wait to try it out!
