Star Wars LIVE ACTION SHOW Coming?

By Mark Lorenz on June 2nd, 2011

That is the sound of a million nerd boners suddenly shriveling like angry balloons that George Lucas has mistaken for his morning meal of fake Space Slugs. He sucks them down by the dozen.

Do you love Star Wars? Do you not want it to be abused like a childhood friend of yours with more features and ridiculousness? You’re SOL.

George Lucas is the master of taking things that he did that were brilliant, stripping them of their personality, and making them as useless as pennies. Billions of pennies. You might’ve watched the first three movies and wondered who the hell the characters were, why they were released, what toad-sniffing executive was fondling his nipples as George pitched to him the story of little Orphan Anakin. Little orphan Anakin. And you might’ve come up empty.

But George is hiding 50 hours worth of television in his neck. Fresh off of the incredible successes of ‘The Clone Wars’ and ‘The Star Wars Holiday Special’, Lucas is planning on airing a live action Star Wars television show. One of the most lucrative franchises in history is going to make the jump to TV — when you didn’t think it could lose any more credibility.

What in the name of Yoda is going on?

Where are you getting your news, the internet archives? This info came out over a year ago. The latest news I've read on it is that George says it would be too expensive to do the show he wants to do and he has to wait for production costs to come down dramatically before he can make it. Whether this is true or not I don't know.
