Ozzy Osbourne – 30th Anniversary Edition of Blizzard of Ozz – Box Set Giveaway!

On May 31, music fans will have their first taste of re-issues from rock icon OZZY OSBOURNE’s catalog of work with the releases of two albums which form the cornerstone of Ozzy Osbourne’s career as a solo artist:   Blizzard of Ozz andDiary of a Madman (Epic Records/Legacy Recordings).  Long revered by rock fans around the world, these two albums created a template for hard rock in the 1980′s and beyond as they were marked by the ground-breaking and  historic union of Ozzy and the late guitar hero Randy Rhoads.  These definitive versions of 1980′s Blizzard of Ozz (with previously unreleased bonus tracks) and 1981′s Diary of a Madman are available individually on vinyl or CD, or together in a deluxe collector’s box.  All versions were restored and remastered from the original analog sources by George Marino.

The 30th Anniversary Edition of Blizzard of Ozz CD includes the original album in its entirety, restored and remastered for this edition, with bonus tracks, while the new Legacy Edition of Diary of a Madman includes the original album in its entirety, restored and remastered for this edition, with a bonus second CD of previously unreleased live performances featuring Ozzy Osbourne and Randy Rhoads with rhythm section Rudy Sarzo (bass) and Tommy Aldridge (drums).  A single disc version of the remastered Diary of a Madman will also be available.

I have been listening to Ozzy most of my life now. Oh I dunno when I was about 5 my dad let me hold his ticket stubs from when he saw Black Sabbath back in the day and just the name Black Sabbath made me feel awesome and as I grew up, dad bought me albums and I memorized every song, every guitar lick and I just absolutely worshiped Ozzy and I still do to this day. I have every album, know every song by heart and Ozzy is still number one to me. Every member of my family has seen Ozzy in concert. I was blessed to be able to see him this January and I was in the fourth row. My ticket was my only Christmas present. THATS how much of a fan I am. I took pictures and sent them to Ozzy and he signed them for me and sent them back. I truly love Ozzy. I dont listen to rap, or hip hop or any of that. When I first heard Blizzard of Ozz it actually kinda put chills down my back. It was like no rock I had ever heard before (besides Black Sabbath). To be an Ozzy fan doesnt mean to put on the record and listen but the feel where Ozzy is coming from and feel Randy’s guitar riffs and shreds vibrate your soul. When I saw Ozzy in concert he really connects with the audience. Its almost like one on one time. And I understand so many people probably listen to Ozzy and like him but they dont appreciate what he has done for music in general. He plowed the road for heavy metal with Black Sabbath and continued to change the world of Rock and Roll with his solo career. Most people only know him because of the bat and the Alamo but its not just about that ya know? He is a hero in the world of music. He is fantastic and every album I have bought and listen to second to end. Every one is just as good as the last. I will forever be the number one fan of Ozzy and the Osbourne family. The madman who is also a loving father and husband. My hero. The Prince of F@#$ing Darkness
