Well. Apparently Harold Camping wasn’t swept away by the Rapture, either.
You thought this was over? No no. Just beginning. You see, Camping has dropped his first statement since his slightly miscalculated prediction of “the end,” clarifying what all these dates mean.
In all fairness, Camping never stated that May 21st was the end of the world…just the beginning of the end. And in all fairness, Camping is a crackpot. Now that we’re all on the same page:
Camping broke his silence today, stating that he didn’t predict the rapture “as accurately as I could have.” Yeah. I would say that’s a fair admission of truth; however, Camping also stated that as he predicted with the rapture, it’s all coming down on October 21st, 2011. He went on to explain that what happened on May 21st was more of an “invisible” judgement day, based on Jesus the Christ’s spiritual judgement on all mankind. So, from now until October 21st, you’ve gotta get things right.
Kind of makes me feel like I’m a little ahead of the curve, because I’ve been trying to get things right for well over a decade now. Yep. Still trying.
Camping also stated that there’s no point in warning people anymore. Basically, the hay is in the barn. What has been done, has been done. It is what it is. You picking up what he’s laying down?
Instead of the pamphlets, billboards, vans and information tents strewn across the nation, Camping’s Family Radio will only broadcast music and “Christian” programming until everything pops in October. You’d think with all that money, they wouldn’t have such a crappy website. But then, what does it matter…it’s all ending on May 2—-er, October 21st, anyway…
